Hell, I'm not sure the Gators are a Top 25 team. Yes, they barely beat
Miami last night and looked terrible doing it. The offense was putrid led
by a QB who is more concerned with TV cameras than completing passes.
There ain't enough mustard in Florida to cover that hotdog. The defense
put on a clinic of how not to tackle in a football game...awful.

Sorry Florida fans but this will not be the year of the Gators.

Welcome your comments...…………...good, bad or don't give a xxxx.

This is another example of why preseason rankings need to go as it gives some teams an unfair leg up to get access to the playoffs and other teams a huge disadvantage of doing so. Florida did not play like one of the 10 best teams in the country. On the flip side it was the first game and it is still early. If anything the lackluster performance will give you value on their line against their next opponent.

Dream, good point about line value. Florida just didn't look like a well coached team to me and NO way can I
trust that quarterback.

Would you say that their conference affiliation has something to do with their top 10 ranking?

btw, last nite was an early season intrastate rivalry game so it’s hard to get a “true” read on a team (just my .02)

Agree.

Florida is talented but the kids were out of control, not well prepared, this is definitely bad coaching.

The QB has natural ability but is an erratic showboat who made a lot of serious mistakes, a terrible leader.

It is not a winning culture, they will blow out a few bad teams while celebrating like assclowns, then lose games against good teams because of this bad culture.

Miami's D was very underrated coming into the game....they are GOOD! End of the day Florida gutted out a win vs a top caliber defense. Great first test for them and they survived. First game of the season won't be perfect. Win is a win they are 1-0 regardless how they played. They'll look back at tape and address areas to fix...they'll be fine will have DD wins and make a solid bowl game

My perspective is somewhat biased, as I am an Auburn fan, however I did have UF -7, but moneyline bigger (live pk halftime).

I thought UF was clearrrrrrrrly the more talented team. Sloppy, but it's an in-state rivalry and early season game.

Mostly interested from a gambling perspective. I think this game UNDERVALUES Florida moving forward. Overcoming a -3 turnover differential means a lot to me.

QB acted like a punk ass bitch.
He really showed how stupid he really is. After a performance like that maybe wow I stunk it up and glad we got the w. Nope . Miami has something to build on with a coach who’s kids have already bought in.

It was one game played in August, nothing more

Good teams learn from their mistake, good coaches make adjustments

I have no idea if FL is a top 10 team, I'm just saying don't read too much into one game.

And I concur, preseason rankings give highly ranked teams a yuuuuuuge advantage

Criticizing the Gator QB is fine but where is the criticism of Miami with their turnover chain and bling they wear after a td? My oh my how our culture has been corrupted by this thug mentality. You don't celebrate until the game is over. If I were a Miami fan I would be horrified by watching this charade. Also, dont be so quick to judge teams playing the earliest teams have ever started a season. I would completely eliminate preseason polls because they are meaningless.

cant wait till they are down by 45 and celebrate a turn over or TD like that

I guess I did overlook the bling that Miami was rewarding it’s playmakers. Maybe a #2 pencil and a pocket protector wouldn’t go over to well . It really is truly pathetic and disgusting thinking about it. Social media has truly ruined pretty much everything except my captain cold ones

I don't know who should be called out more, the call to throw in that situation late in the game or Franks for throwing to literally 3 Hurricane players. Even a shot of Steve Spurrier showed him having a WTF look on his face. I don't mind my QB having some swagger but after how he played, Franks has no business showcasing so much of it based on that performance.

Also the DB's have to be called out for their stupid penalties. How do you get a PI on 4th & 34! Even if he caught the ball, he was 10 yards short, you were on top of him and your teammate was literally inches away. He would be 1000-1 to get the first down yards needed from that spot.

I had no money on the game but feel Florida deserved to lose it.
