Football as we know it will not be around a whole lot longer.

The powerful NFL is fighting it, sure, but the plantiff lawyers will win, there is extensive credible evidence, they'll be a clear breakthrough one of these days and it will be over, done, tons of big lawuits, large $$$ awards, then multiple football rule changes that make the game safe, but then also boring and stupid.

Right now, you would have to be a real moron to allow your son to play football.

Am I the only one to watch any of the video?

Most of those hits are still legal today. Obviously, helmet shots to the head are no longer allowed, which is a good thing.

The violence is clearly downplayed by the networks now. Can't celebrate a big hit like they did back then.

There already was a settlement in excess of a billion dollars. The video posted was actually part of the trial
