Okay say 10:1 for simplicity

The bet won't happen, purely hypothetical

So I throw up day $1000, you toss in $100, mods administer this.

It's not that I don't trust, have no reason to, nor should you trust me..

So our $1100 held by a neutral party

I'm betting this hurricane directly hits anywhere on the bus mainland, you say it just goes out to sea essentially

All I can say is I make a practic of not making private wagers with people I've never met and never will meet

I do hope you are correct, Tate !

Betting a prop on weather is risky stuff, it's not like a basketball game where you can clearly defined the grading logic

Looking at projections, it looks like the eye will NOT hit land. However it’s the outer effects is what people are nervous about.

I am currently not in the cone (northwest broward) but we’re nervous about damage and losing power

I think they are saying 40 mi off coast for me with hurricane force winds up to 35 miles. But it supposed to be a cat 3 by then. Office already announced shut down Tuesday and Wednesday. Now just praying don't lose power. Can deal with the flooding and debris but no power for days suuuucks.

If you want to guarantee win you should go to Florida stand outside with a camera Livestream on youtube. Make sure you have a concealed weapon for defense of course . Go to any Family Dollar and watch people loot the most meanal stuff and interview the folks. If you don't get enough residuals from YouTube video for commercials turn you video over to the local police for a large finders fee.

So downed trees and flooding are no problem , but losing power for 2 days is huge ?

Maybe you should buy a generator ?
If you go back in time, to about 1900 or before, nobody had electricity, but people survived

Losing refrigeration/food would be my major concern with being without power for more than 2 days. My neighbor has a generator, so I could charge my phone, I could heat/ cook with propane. A week without power would suck, but I'd survive, there is always canned tuna,Ritz crackers, some fruit, warm pop & Dubra to survive on for awhile

Pretty much. The last 2 years it wasn't for only 2 days. If I'm going to be stuck in my home I don't want it to be 90 inside. After you lose power for a week you would understand. A generator can keep the fridge going and give you a light.
