Well, CIN was supposed to have the advantage of being hm, but that couldn’t have been farthest from the truth. SF has a very dynamic “O” & Shanahan should only make this team better as the season rolls along. I’m hoping that my feeling for how good/bad teams really are takes faster shape. DAL won in spades while OAK started out the gates well enough (as usual) but faltered dearly for the rest of the gm thanks to some bad drops by WRs & TOs. Teaser had a scare from NYG (what a shock) but won fairly easily.

Regular Season POW 0-2, Teasers 2-0, GOY 0-0, Overall 5-4

GB -6 ½ (@ -110) is shaping up to be 1 of the top NFC teams so far. And that’s w/Rodgers struggling! There’s obvious rust from not playing any preseason plus learning LaFleur’s new “O”. I expect that to get better every wk. Enter the Broncos. I was a big fan of Fangio’s “D”s, but it’s beginning to look like there was a reason he wasn’t given HC after many yrs as a DC. He’s obviously learning what it’s like to roam the sidelines & manage a gm, so by no means is this a failed hire for Elway. That said, there are obvious struggles, on both sides of the ball surprisingly. On “O”, Flacco is not the answer. Even as a SB MVP, I didn’t like his play. He was very fortunate he had a great “D”, run gm, & Anquan Boldin to bail him out on so many down & distances. Now that he’s the main guy (like the last 7 yrs in BAL where he had 1 PO win), his accuracy & decision making skills are laid to bare. There’s also issues on the oline, most notably LT Bolles who can’t seem to get it into his head what a holding penalty is. W/RT James still hurt, DEN has no choice but to keep Bolles on Flacco’s blindside. Now going against GB’s revamped “D”, all of these problems aren’t going to be fixed @ Lambeau. I expect a lot of hurried throws from Flacco & DEN’s ground gm to be minimized. GB’s offseason acquisitions on “D” are paying dividends from Wk 1. The Smiths’ @ LBs & steady Adrian Amos @ safety have gelled early under Mike Pettine’s guidance. They look to finish in the top 5 in the league, IMO. On top of all this, Rodgers has performed well against Fangio’s “D” in CHI (6-2 SU, 4-4 ATS), GB receivers should have the advantage against DEN’s secondary (outside of wherever Chris Harris lines up), & Jones/Williams should continue to shine against DEN’s struggling front 7. GB lost their starting LG Lane Taylor, but rookie Elgton Jenkins has really impressed & was looking good to eventually replace Taylor during the season anyway.

Honorable Mentions:

1 Unit SEA -5: SEA is 2-0 by the slimmest of margins thus far, but I have no faith in Bridgewater. I wasn’t sure where all the love was coming from in NOR for him (MIA was looking to trade for him & I was hoping they didn’t). It may be raining in SEA come gametime, so I have greater faith in the power run gm of Carson/Penny over Kamara/Murray who rely more on Brees’ passing gm to open them up. SEA’s main weakness is their secondary & I don’t think NOR can take advantage enough.

1 Unit PIT +6 ½: SF is shaping up to be 1 of the NFC’s best teams. That said, I think they have a bit of a letdown here as PIT comes limping in after a 0-2 start & Big Ben out of the yr. Mason Rudolph was drafted to be the heir apparent, & he looked terrific in relief last wk (2 TD passes & an INT off drop-happy Moncrief’s stone hands). SF’s foundation @ LT Joe Staley is out for 6-8 wks, so 6[SUP]th[/SUP] rd draft pick Justin Skule steps in to protect Garappolo against Bud Dupree & TJ Watt.

2 Unit Wormy Teaser

BAL +18 ½
SEA +8
HOU +16
LAR +9 ½

Finally hit the POW. Start of a run bro. Thank you again
BIG monkey off the back. I always get flashbacks to my 5-11 season a while back when I have starts like this. It seemed like I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn that yr.

Thanks bud, I'm glad you're doing well in your survivor.

I did! Thanks my man, GB still has a lot to fix but they're looking good early.
