I must get 3-4 texts a week from different numbers. Promising me winners etc. Some want money up front, some want you to take care of them after it wins etc. I swear they lose 70% of the time when they do give you a play. I feel like they must have access to 100's of numbers and its probably the same 2-3 tout services messaging me. I've never paid for a pick but I love shit talking with them, especially when their pick is getting destroyed. Had some guy messaging me for an hour hyping up the Seahawks -5.5 vs the Saints. How much could I move on the game, what type of package did I want when it won etc etc..... Crickets once the game started and the Seahawks were getting rolled. I must have sent him 5-6 messages with no response. Im sure ill never hear from that number again. Another guy messaging me, saying hes 70-34 last 100 plays, no website, no listing of previous picks etc

Remember Fiest selling "late steam", top dollar plays, they call you like 15 minutes before the game. Only one or two plays a weekend ... yada yada yada
After going 0-3, he offered his next steam play for free. We're like fuck you, we can't afford to lose any more money because of you. This was 30+ years ago

Lol! Oh the days! I was on the phone one time with a tout and I want to say it was Mike Warren and what prompted me to call them was I got some postcard advertising his free Monday Night Football pick with no obligation. Called and got the hard sell and I kept saying I didn’t want to buy any packages and just wanted the Bonus Play. The guy said he’d give me the Bonus Play but first wanted to know why I wouldn’t want to buy his picks package for the season yada yada yada and on and on. After about 20-30 minutes later I remember him blah blah blah-ing and he wanted to cut me a discount and he asked, “What do you think about that?” and I just said, “I think you’re full of shit.” and hung up. Immediately about 10 seconds later the guy calls me! and angrily says, “ You must think you’re a tough guy, huh?!”. I just hung up. What an asshole. Ha ha!
My last experience with a tout. OK St was playing Wyoming in a bowl game, pretty sure Barry Sanders was playing. I liked OK St, and the tout was trying to convince me to play Wyoming. So I asked him why he liked Wyoming so much, he said because they had a better defense.
I laughed at him as I hung up the phone. I played OK St, they won in an absolute blowout. I know they scored > 50 points on that great Wyoming defense
In any event, that was the last straw, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt they did not have more insight than me, they're just full of shit. Guys around here are much better and more consistent
Lol it was like mid 90’s if I remember right used to watch pro-line to make sure they weren’t on any of my plays if they were I would have to go back and look at that game again also a newsstand had Jim’s paper and would check it to find out the games in it

so anyway I called Cokin for one of his scam 3-0 or it’s free for the year
well 0-3 showed up amazingly of course they don’t give you shit so the next weekend guy calls after about 15 minutes I said listen I feel bad for you working for this guy giving you losers so I gave him my play a winner so next weekend you guessed it he called back for another after a couple months football and basketball some times I would say no games today see if I can find one tomorrow so one day I had the wife answer the phone asking for his password or if he was a new client calling in for plays
