At first when I heard the breaking news this morning I was very concerned. I have since learned that it's NOT a commercial flight.

It was a vintage plane, essentially a museum piece, a B-17 Flying Fortress from WWII

There will be heartbreak, this is still a tragedy, but the devastation will be far less than if it were a commercial flight. It also won't raise as many questions or concerns about commercial flights either.

No real information yet a casualties or injuries. Only stuff I've heard is that there are at least two confirmed injuries and a life-star helicopter was called to the site

They were advertising a 30 minute flight for a cost of $ 450. One report said they could sell 12 seats

13 people were on board, 3 crew and 10 passengers

There were fatalities, there may be survivors

Heartbreaking

It's all a little different when it's so close to home

Willie.

Thought youd find this interesting. It's the air traffic control and ground chatter from yesterday.

It's a safe listen.

Personally, I wouldn't fly on some relic from WW2.

This crash has been all over the news in CT since it happened.

I feel it is mechanical failure, not pilot error

Best wishes to those involved and their families.

I consider flying on a commercial jet to be likely the safest and fastest .way to travel long distances

This was an exhibition of sorts with Rich people paying $450 for a 30 minutes long tourist flight on an old bomber

Wow, it all came down so fast

I think the building they hit on the ground stored fuel and / or chemicals which created a massive fire which is caused the most casualties

Haven't heard anything official yet, but I haven't listened to news since this morning
