It's absolutely unbelievable! Regardless of the pacers, conditions, etc this is something nobody ever thought possible just 10 years ago.

I've run nearly 20 marathons and have a personal best of 2:58:44, I struggled like hell to break 3 hours. Anyone you see breaking 2:20 in a marathon is an absolute freak of nature, and this guy went more than 20 minutes faster. Amazing.

20?!? geez man congrats. that time is amazing too. running the marine corps marathon 2 weeks from today which will be my third. yet to break 4 hours and unlikely this time. having a back issue which has caused me to rest a lot and not get in all the training needed. love running and always wanted to do the marine corps marathon so this is somewhat or a bucket list for me. im just gonna enjoy the run and all the marathon means while giving thanks to those that served.

this is really sick

I run about 12 miles a week mostly broken into sprints...but I do a mile every time. I can do it under 7, but it takes alot. I've been working out/in shape for 25 years...

on that note though...running sucks so bad.
