Maycee Barber -125 - Maycee is a brawler and Gillian hopes to get her down to the mat. Can Maycee stuff the TD or not? That's the fight.

Jonathan Pearce -125 - This is more of a play against Joe Lauzon than it is with Jonathan Pearce.

All of Maycee's victories except two come from the ground, mainly ground and pound. She's a brawler as well, a well rounded one. The line is what it is because this should be her toughest test to date, she's fighting her first ranked opponent, she's 20 years old, and she's gotta mouth on her that says she's gonna be the youngest champ ever, surpassing Jon Jones. The line screams Gillian to me, because a loss doesn't hurt Maycee here really (she's gonna need one for the learning experience at some point), and a lot of folks are hoping to see her lose. With that said, she should win though, but Robertson did look the best she's ever looked last fight out. Should be a good scrap, regardless...

I agree about Pearce, but not playing it either.

Good luck...

I like Maycee here but let’s be honest, in her last fight, JJ was piecing her up early and was actually up 1-0. She’s good but young. Gillian is older and wiser. Good fight.

Well, let's be honest here, if she was getting pieced up in her last fight, and she wins a majority of her fights on the ground via armbar and GNP, wouldn't she want it on the ground?!

Personally, I think they both are ready to take the fight wherever it goes. Gillian is also very young, she's only 24. A loss really doesn't hurt either, so they should both lay it on the line...

Gillian is also from a much better team with much stiffer training partners on the daily at ATT in Florida. The training she gets with those females there can't be matched anywhere.

With everything said, it's a total toss up fight, and I'm sure both are hungry to finish. Looking forward to it...

Because JJ is one hell of a striker and much quicker. Barber is not the grappler Gillian is. Just my opinion.

Maycee owns a BJJ gym, and is the head instructor. LOL BJJ for MMA has been her number one priority for several years now. Now she works on her striking equally, needed right?

All in all, as I stated previously, the amount of talent that Gillian trains with on the daily is what scares me the most in this fight.

I do hope Maycee wins, and now even more since you're playing her...

I guess I should add that I don’t think Maycee’s ground game is near as good as she thinks it is because she got most of her training online when she first started. It’s not black belt level, and some even call it “fake”. Idk what belt she wears inclasdes now or portrays herself to be, maybe Duke Roufus and the boys have put her into place...

It should be a good fight Matt. I’m hoping it is at least.
