Since 1985, when Green Bay has been a home favorite vs the Lions they have won 26 and lost 4.
Also when they were favored from 3 to 6.5 points at home against Lions that are 15 wins and 1 loss.
These are wins straight up, not ATS.

Careful guys. Those stats can be sooooo misleading.

Green Bay has actually lost their last four playing against Detroit SU and ATS. Their last game last year Green Bay was -7' @ home vs Det and lost SU 0-31.

The last four years, the Pack is 1-3 SU and ATS when hosting Detroit.

The stats you quote get their bite from a different era. I could only go back to 1993 (not '85 as your study did). From 1993 to 2014 Green Bay beat Detroit straight up EVERY TIME (22 straight games) when Detroit visited Lambeau.

So beware of stats that go back for years. They can lose their relevance (as they have here) and you won't even know it because the stats quoted may be accurate but are very misleading.

Having said all of that, I'll likely be on the Pack tonight. LOsing four straight to the Lions, with the last being a 0-31 beating in the last game of the year in Green Bay's home park has gotta taste really bad to the Packers. I think they have the better team and will want revenge.

Good luck.

Every game is a new game, and past games, particularly not within the same season, have no

real relevance IMO!

WinPicks software breaks down the game stats down by these point spreads: pk - 2.5; 3-6.5; 7 -9.5; 10 - 13.5; 14 - 16.5; 17 - 19.5 and 20up. If the games closes at 3 to 6.5 points then stats will be more meaningful. If Detroit drops the line to under 3 or Green Bay pushes the number over 6.5, then my above stats aren't any good. Any 2.5 's or 7's out there today?

I agree about real old stats being of less value. Farve was likely the QB for a high % of those wins too.

I was at the 31-0 game last year. Rodgers left the game after 2 series and there were only about 3 Packers that wanted to be on the field. I believe one of the other 4 losses was without Rodgers as well when he was out with the broken collarbone. So yes, stats can be very deceiving.

On Detroit tonight, guys. They will be motivated as hell. The Pack is 2-0 in the Division. Detroit can't afford to let them get to 3-0. This is Detroit's first game in the Division.

I won my bet, but I hope there is a league review of a few refs calls. Reminded me once again how much more I enjoy MLB over the NFL.
