can they win it? of course, at this stage they are right there.
houston and new york are much better hitting teams though and its likely the bullpen will be needed much more in that series. looks like if they can close it out soon the starters will be fully rested and ready to go which would line up scherzer, strasburg, corbin which is ideal for the nationals. i think houston is the best team with their starting pitching being equal to that of the nationals if not better but at this stage anyone can win it. always interesting to see how the AL team does with the pitcher having to hit, a great equalizer when you take out encarnacion or alvarez and replace with a pitcher.
