the fees are pretty high (as a %) on most tournaments. but in
many cases there is a lot of dead money to offset that. if you are
a skilled tourney player you would like longer time periods between
levels and enough starting chips to survive. im sure a good
experienced tournament player could give the minimum starting
chips to initial blind level ratio more accurately than me. what your goal
here is for the results be influenced as much as possible by your
skill and the results minimized by a bad tournament structure where
luck and timing tend to determine the outcome. hope this helps.
