There are tens of thousands of scumbags warehoused in prisons all across this once great country that should have been exterminated within a year of sentecing, some take over 30 years to get rid of permanently like.

21 states outright ban the death penalty along with a lot of pussy countries !

Of the 29 left, 11 of those states haven't used it in a decade or more, the Feds haven't used it since 2003

In 2018, only 25 were executed in 8 states, all but one by lethal injection which works pretty well, but drug manufacturers don't like to provide the drugs needed

One guy choose the electric chair in Tennessee on 12/6/2018. No other country in the world has it and only a handful of states offer it !

Don't mess with Texas...

Of the 25

13 in Tx
3 for Tn
2 in GA
2 in Florida
2 in Mrs. Sippi
1 each for SD, Neb, Ohio

There have to be tens of thousands that should be just eliminated, screw this life without parole BS , or dumb shit like 7 consecutive life terms + 149 years !

Why warehouse these career felons that can never be released ?

They gave up their right to live !

At the very least if they want to check out, allow them the means to request it.

Maybe this should be political, but I'll start it here where it's dead and not all about Trump and impeachment, etc.

Mods, do as you like with it !

For crimes that folks shouldn't be executed for, I support this too!

Hard labor could be an option for those that are young and possibly reformable !

It should be something productive not making little rocks out of big rocks or digging a hole and filling in when done

If it's a hopeless career criminal, I'd go as far as mandatory blood donations, even harvesting useful organs before execution, that's one way to pay back society !

We got more people in prison per capital than any country in the world, probably more than any country in the world by far, maybe any 5 countries ?

This is a huge cost to everyone.

I am in favor of mass executions. The governor's should sign hundreds of death warrants at once. Fuck these anti death penalty cocksuckers that care more about the scumbags than the victims.

At least we still have one state left that does things right !

I ain't never been to Texas, outside of Houston's airport, but I had two girlfriends from there, both named Julie.

When I lived on Colorado, the locals generally disliked Texans, I guess Texans can be kind of loud and bold to the more laid back Colorado attitude, I Neve fully got it, only lived there 3 years, nice place and people but a bit colder than I like in winter, I could live there again, Colorado Springs was a decent sized little city, bigger than any city in CT, but nothing like a major city.

I can think of reasons not to live in any general area...

Chicago transplant living in Texas.
Definitely takes some getting used to. It's like a completely separate country.

Do you like Texas better?
Pros and cons
As a whole I would say yes, better here than Chicago, mostly cost of living considerations

Birmingham was my favorite city I’ve lived in by a pretty wide margin though.
Left for a better job here.
No regrets

Yeah I spent 5 years in Birmingham prior to moving here and seriously dated an au alum.
adopted them at that point as I didn’t really have allegiance to a college team

Also helped that I’ve always hated bama for multiple reasons, since before I moved there

I'm not a proponent of the death penalty, but I am an advocate for truth in sentencing. Leave people in jail and let them live in misery. Stop making them comfortable

I believe its Florida, someone is set to be executed in the next couple of weeks (november 6th) no dna, no evidence, other then testimony from other felons looking for time off of their sentence. Supposedly, the real killer confessed at least 4 times to the murder. Only the governor can save him now.
