In the past, I would bet quality NHL road teams grabbing the +1 1/2 goals or even parlay two such teams on a full schedule card. I did pretty well. Now, open net goals are just killing me. Based on game analytics, hockey teams are pulling their goaltenders with more and more time on the clock. For the underdog bettor like myself, its become a race to get that late lead goal or get the game into overtime. Wanted to get other opinions, observations out there regarding betting NHL underdogs. Thanks in advance.
Agree with you in that coach’s are pulling their goalie a full minute sooner. (or more), than in the past.
From my experience these games get tighter as the season moves on. Just in the last six days 38% of the games have gone to OT. Obviously a good trend for you. With the parity in this league that shouldn’t change. If your system of taking quality road teams at +1.5 has worked in the past over a long sample size I see no reason why it won’t work going forward. I would consider your bad misfortune this year, (after 14 or so games), just an anomaly and some bad puck luck.

Thanks for the encouraging response and you're right - over a larger sample size this should even itself up. I'll stick with my method and stay the course. By the way, really like your personal screenshot. I had that swivel hockey game as a kid and had lots of fun playing it. Brings back some good memories.
