Some quotes are better than others. I find this one particularly amusing. Feel free to add any you find
that catches your attention.

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) launched into a blistering attack against Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) while
speaking at a Trump campaign rally in Louisiana late Wednesday, stating that it "must suck" to be as "dumb" as her.

"I don't mean any disrespect, but it must suck to be that dumb," Kennedy added, prompting widespread laughs from
the crowd and grinning from Trump.

Butt hurt?

U.S. District Judge Paul L. Friedman of the District of Columbia said Trump’s rhetoric “violates
all recognized democratic norms” during a speech at the annual Judge Thomas A. Flannery Lecture
in Washington on Wednesday.

“We are in unchartered territory,” said Friedman, 75, an appointee of President Bill Clinton.
“We are witnessing a chief executive who criticizes virtually every judicial decision that doesn’t
go his way and denigrates judges who rule against him, sometimes in very personal terms. He seems
to view the courts and the justice system as obstacles to be attacked and undermined, not as a coequal
branch to be respected even when he disagrees with its decisions.”

I'm thinking Judge Friedman is not a big fan of the 1st Amendment.

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz during an appearance on Sunday’s
“The Cats Roundtable” on New York AM 970 radio equated the Democrats’ obsession with
impeaching President Donald Trump to the KGB under former Soviet Union dictator Joseph Stalin.

“It reminds me of what Lavrentiy Beria, the head of the KGB, said to Stalin. He said,
‘Show me the man, and I’ll find you the crime,’ which he really meant.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]When you're from California it all seems reasonable.

House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff made clear on Saturday that the Ukraine whistleblower
won't be testifying in the impeachment inquiry, arguing that the individual's testimony would
be "redundant and unnecessary."

They have no grounds to NOT let the "Whistleblower" to be called as a witness....
____________________________________________________________________________________

A party may impeach a witness by introducing those of his prior statements that are inconsistent with his current testimony at trial. In a minority of jurisdictions that follow FRE 801, the prior inconsistent statement may be used not only to impeach but also as substantive evidence.

A prior inconsistent statement is admissible as substantive evidence if

the statement was given under penalty of perjury at a trial, hearing, or other proceeding or in a deposition;
the witness testifies at the present trial; and
the witness is subject to cross-examination about the prior statement. (801(d)(1), 2014, Federal Rules of Evidence by Muller and Kirkpatrick)
A prior inconsistent statement offered solely for impeachment purposes is admissible regardless of whether it satisfies those requirements.

The cross-examining attorney need not disclose or show the contents of a prior inconsistent statement to a witness prior to the moment he is questioned. If the witness's attorney asks to see the prior inconsistent statement, however, the questioning attorney must show or disclose its content

WASHINGTON — U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday that President Donald Trump had
admitted to bribery in the Ukraine scandal, accusing the Republican leader of an impeachable
offense under the U.S. Constitution.

Well if you say so it must be true.

Say what?

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., said Sunday that the Trump administration officials who provided
information to the anonymous whistleblower about the president’s efforts to pressure Ukraine
“exposed things that didn’t need to be exposed.”

“This would have been far better off if we would’ve just taken care of this behind the scenes,”

Johnson said in an interview on NBC News’ “Meet the Press.” “We have two branches of government.
Most people, most people wanted to support Ukraine. We were trying to convince President Trump.”

More babble from an elected official.

“exposed things that didn’t need to be exposed.” What was exposed that didn't need to be? That
Trump had a phone call with the Ukraine president and that most people wanted to support Ukraine?

I'm sure Johnson had a point he was trying to make but I'll be damned if I know it was.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi ridiculed President Donald Trump for attacking the credibility of former U.S.
ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch during testimony, cautioning him that such a move is a
direct challenge to her leadership.

"I will make sure he does not intimidate the whistleblower," Pelosi said in an interview with Face
the Nation host Margaret Brennan, which aired Sunday morning. "I told the president you're in my wheelhouse
when you come after the whistleblower."

Definition of wheelhouse... within one’s area of expertise. Sorry Nancy but you have no area of expertise
other than feeding at the Government though for 32 years.

Iran will wipe out the United States, Israel and the U.K if they cross Tehran’s red lines,
the head of the country’s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Monday in an address
to a pro-government rally. He added “solid slaps” will be forthcoming for any country that
challenges the Islamic Republic.

Solid slaps as opposed to what, bitch slaps?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) stated Friday that the November jobs report – which showed
a record high in Americans employed for the sixth consecutive month that caused the unemployment
rate to fall to 3.5 percent, matching the lowest level in 50 years – “offers little solace” to Americans.

But impeachment does, Nancy?

Jobs, no.

Impeachment, yes.

She must be talking to law professors.
