Nine American women and children killed in northern Mexico were victims of a territorial dispute between an arm of the Sinaloa Cartel and a rival gang, officials said on Wednesday, and may have been used to lure one side into a firefight.

    Just fuckin tragic.

All Mormons who have family roots there going back to 1924.

This drug shit has to stop. And Mexico is afraid of the bloodbath it would take to stop it.

WE need to cut off demand. I'll probably piss off a few people on this board but I say give drug dealers one chance. Second offense should be met with swift death. That would dry up the demand quick. And save a ton of American lives, their families, their friends, and their victims from the plague of addiction.

This is the time for Mexico, with the help of the United States, to wage WAR on the drug cartels and wipe them off the face of the earth. We merely await a call from your great new president!

Mexico will never get such an invite from a sitting US President, imo. How did the new Mexican president respond?

But Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador rejected that approach, saying previous Mexican governments have tried a military solution and "it didn't work."
"The worst thing you can have is war," he said

"I thanked him for his willingness to support us, and informed him that the institutions of the government of Mexico will act to ensure justice is done," the Mexican president tweeted.

oh that kind of justice? yeah that's really worked well in the past.....

If you kill the dealers you would be disrupting supply not demand. If you start executing the people who buy the drugs demand would probably drop.

The answer is to legalize everything.

There's a doc I watched on the Mormons in Mexico a few years back. It's really good and is good watch. The Mormons thought we should end the drug war and I agree. They also discussed Mexico's backwards gun laws. The criminals have guns but for law abiding citizens, it's nearly impossible. To sum it up the war on drugs and gun control played a major roll in this. Prohibition whether it's guns or drugs, brings out the worst elements.

Demand will always out do supply. The bigger the consequences, the darker the individuals will be that supply. You put the supply in the hands of someone that doesn't care about laws, the crazier they will do to keep from getting caught. I imagine a guy that knows he will be executed will take out as many cops, and innocent people as they can to stay on the run.

Someone has been taken into custody on this. I'm against the death penalty but damn, this is one of those occasions where I will look the other way.

More fake news. Funny how people never learn.

Believe me, I'm not pro-Mexico in many things, but they'll occasionally ramp up this shit to fuel the anti-Mexico angle. After all, that is what got Trump elected.

People are sick and tired of all the illegals.

Of course, Trump has done absolutely zero on immigration and will continue to do nothing.

someone? one person is responsible? whew....lol........ smoke and mirrors. Shame shame Mexico. Well, Trump did offer help, this new Mexican president has got this

    https://worldview.stratfor.com/artic...e-midyear-2019

Mexican news outlet Milenio counted 2,249 murders nationwide in June, the highest monthly total since it began keeping its own tally in 2007 and the first time its numbers have ever surpassed 2,000 for a given month.

To those who closely follow violence in Mexico, the reports can sometimes seem overwhelming: Two shot dead in Cancun; 15 murdered in the last 24 hours in Tijuana; 12 dismembered bodies found in trash bags in Jalisco, etc. The headlines come in day after day in a steady rhythm of violence, and the photos are worse than the headlines. Images of dismembered bodies or of "narcomantas," messages from cartels on banners, left next to severed human heads appear at least weekly.

Mexican news outlet Milenio on July 1 published its unofficial count of murders in Mexico for the first half of 2019. Milenio counted 2,249 murders in June alone, the highest monthly number the news outlet has recorded since it began keeping its own tally in 2007. In fact, this is the first time that Milenio's numbers have ever surpassed 2,000 for any given month.
According to Milenio, the four states with the highest murder counts in June were Jalisco with 206, Mexico with 202, Baja California with 181 and Guanajuato with 176. While these numbers are not official, they still serve as a good barometer by which to measure the state of the country's violence. As expected, the country appears well on its way to another record-setting year for murders.

I used to go there, Tijuana only when I lived in San Diego back in the 80's, only reason was to play Jai alai on the pro court with other high level almost pro pelota enthusiasts and the super long court.

I wouldn't set foot in that country today even if I had the A-Team as body guards !

I'm sorry but aren't the Mormons to blame here? They're stupid and naive to think they can colonize down there. They're literally living in the middle of a mine field. What did they expect? They'll never stop the drug war and are only setting themselves up to be wiped out.

Only way this will stop is either to legalize it or for 30% of the idiots here to stop snorting it. America is the cartel's #1 customer.
