NOV 16 RICARDO RAMOS -255 (EDUARDO GARAGORRI VRS RICARDO RAMOS)
Same thing as last week, huge experience disparity even though Ramos is the younger fighter by 6 years Pro MMA Record: 13-2-0 (Win-Loss-Draw) Fighting out of Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. Ricardo Ramos looked good in his loss to Said Nurmagomedov who I expect to be a top 10 fighter in the UFC. Said Nurmagomedov is just like Zabit Magomedsharipov, who has so many weapons offensive to throw at you and brutal ground fighting. Said won by a flush spinning elbow. I think this is set up fight for the 24 year old who is a high level striker and Black belt jiu jitsu . This will be Ramos 3rd fight of 2019, he was scheduled to meet Sergio Pettis, Garagorri is a huge step down from Pettis.
I read this; Garagorri is one of the few fighters with a perfect record in the UFC. The Uruguayan fighter received a lot of criticism before his UFC debut, being accused of padding his record against low-level fodder. He silenced some of the naysayers back in August when he blanked Humberto Bandenay across all three judges’ scorecards at UFC on ESPN + 14.
Humberto Bandenay is at the end of a uneventful MMA career and is no longer is in the UFC. Eduardo Garagorri 13-0-0 record is padded with fighter, from no name organization some of which have zero fights and bad fighters like Daniel Ferreira dos Santos 6-19-0. Way way too much of a step up in competition.
