GA would have two losses, MN also has a loss, it's neither of them

Assuming no more upsets, which is a mighty big assumption, then OK or
OR

Bama needs a few upsets

Minnesota is undefeated but assuming they lose to Ohio State in the Big 10 Championship game.

Your hypothetical assumed Ohio St and LSU are undefeated, hence MN and GA both lose at least 1 game down the stretch

Bama needs to win out

And Baylor or Oklahoma to lose during the season then win the B12

And UT or OR to lose during the season and win the P12

I think the SEC is the only potential two bid conference, although I suppose it's plausible a one loss Ohio St can earn a second bid for the B10

PS: a Clemson loss in the ACC would open more doors too, nothing is cast in stone just yet

I think 9 teams still control their own destiny, and Bama is NOT one of them

Actually, 4 of those teams probably control their own fate, but may not. I don't think the B12 and P12 both get a bid if there are no upsets

you guys are funny. despite the webpage of the playoff committee literally saying that the most important criteria for them in selecting teams is winning the conference and strength of schedule if bama wins out they will get in watch. Even ESPN projects they have a 69% chance of getting in if they win out. The system is a fucking joke and needs to change to at least an 8 team playoff if it wants to be taken serious. I realize that bama is really good and that they will only have 1 loss but them getting in is fucking pathetic when there is other teams that won their conference and have comparable stregth of schedules. Lets assume uga and bama both beat Auburn, then an 8-4 Auburn will be bamas best win and potentially their only win vs a ranked team and it won't matter, the committee will still put them in. watch.

They have a chance to get in if they win out because there will be upsets which opens the door for them

If Ohio St, Clemson, LSU, OK and/or OR win out, Bama is not getting in

Bama doesn't control their own destiny, they gave that away

I think if Oregon and Oklahoma win out, they will be ranked ahead of Bama for the 4th and final playoff spot providing LSU, Clemson, and Ohio St win out.

I think the ONLY way to assure that Bama does NOT get in is have Georgia beat LSU in the SEC title game. No way Bama goes in over LSU, NO WAY that UGA wouldnt make it, and NO WAY will we have 3 SEC teams in the CFP

Bama and while I can't stand them, from what I've seen they are 1 of the top 4 teams in the nation.

Would prefer to see Oregon or Oklahoma. Baylor and Minnesota would be a cool story but doubt either gets through the season undefeated and both would get their doors blown off by teams ahead of them.

Bama hasn't done enough to be considered one of the top 4 teams ..SEC only has 8 Conference games for each team. while every other conference has 9 Conference games , SEC teams insert a FCS tuneup instead.. Bama had a very weak non conference schedule , which doesn't help either.. Hard to imagine they can stay in top 4 , while sitting idle on Championship weekend , while other 1 loss teams are boosting their resume with quality wins.. just doesn't add up ..

Some will say well Bama kicked Auburn's ass , while Oregon scheduled and lost to Auburn... that's the tiebreaker... Ducks-Auburn game was played in August ..Easily could have been a win. Ducks played that game without top 4 WR's... which should be a factor taken into account...

Clemson and Oklahoma's schedules were worse then Bama's.. IMO , Bama would get the nod over both of those teams.

you guys all make valid reasons why Bama shouldn't get in however, I think you're all wrong. We have seen this story before. I'm old enough to remember when Bama lost to Auburn in the last game of the year and didn't play in the SEC championship game yet still made the playoffs. Which means i'm at least 2 years old cause thats how long ago it happened. In that year Bama beat exactly two teams that were ranked in the top 25 at years end. #17 LSU and #23 Miss st. Bama got the nod over Ohio St who beat #6, #9 and #16 and won the big 10.

Ohio State should have gone to the CFP that season, not Bama. For the reasons that Bama made it 2 years ago is the reason why i dont think the committee will put Bama in again under the same scenerio (unless teams in front of them drop)

Didn't Ohio St also have a real bad loss that year ? Did they have more then 1 loss too ?

2 losses. 1 was early to #5 Oklahoma. The other was the first weekend in November when Iowa spanked them.

They won the big 10 that year and had 2 wins vs top 5 teams that year.

I remember making the argument that year the 4th team should have been Ohio State, Oklahoma, Bama, or UCF but Ohio State was probably the hottest team at the time since they won their conference.

If Ohio State played a cupcake instead of Oklahoma, then they would have gotten in. Same thing with Oregon this season. If they win out, they'd have 1 loss. Had they played a cupcake instead of Auburn, they'd be undefeated and a no brainer for the CFP
