Oleynik was expected to face Walt Harris on May 4, 2019, at UFC Fight Night 150. On April 3, 2019 news surfaced that he was withdrawn from the bout in order to headline UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Overeem against Alistair Overeem after Alexander Volkov had to withdraw.
Oleynik faced Alistair Overeem on 20 April 2019 at UFC Fight Night 149, replacing Alexander Volkov. He lost the fight via technical knockout in round one. So Oleynik takes the fight on short notice, and I don't think Oleynik even cared , he just took it for the money. The bout between Oleynik and Walt Harris rescheduled for July 20, 2019 at UFC on ESPN 4.He lost the fight via knockout in the first round IN 12 SECONDS !!!!
It how Oleynik lost, Oleynik just cant stop knees and this is Overeem specialty, Oleynik is always looking for the take down setting it up with wild boxing or pulling guard being a combat sambo and submission grappler. So he is always dropping his head and serving up his face to be thai kneed. Overeem has always enjoyed utilizing his knee strikes, Overeem did much of his best work throughout his career in the clinch. He can not take this path to victory vs Rozenstruik.
Overeem is no longer Roidreem, he does not have the power he once did at 39. He is no longer the “Demolition Man” . Rozenstruik is 31, Training MMA facility full time now. Rozenstruik is scheduled to face Alistair Overeem, replacing Walt Harris due to the ongoing search for his missing step-daughter. He is very active in 2019 but has taken zero damage. I think Rozenstruik is a way more deadly opponent then Walt Harris, maybe we are getting better odds due to the replacement.
Rozenstruik boxing is elite, he does not need to load up on punches like Francis Ngannou, He Knocks out people with short punches and never over extends himself to be countered. He was toying with Andrei Arlovski , just slapping down punches for 28 seconds before he KOed him, it was effortless.
Jan 3, 2019 - UFC: 2018 Underdogs Vs Favorites Record ... In 2015 the underdog win percentage was 38.5, while in 2017 it was down to 32 percent. I like betting on favorites and to me the slight dog is in a better position to win in this fight due to Alistair Overeem last two win, that i consider to not warrant his number five ranking. The way that Rozenstruik mowed thru his first three opponents was sick. Of course it looks like Johnny Walker all over again, but I don't think it is. Rozenstruik is the more motivated fighter with more experience and more talent.
This is a 5 round fight, Rozenstruik is younger but Alistair Overeem has the advantage of seeing more experience going deep into fights, ill be looking bet the under if its 3 1/2, if its 4 1/2 ill unload, I think 5 rounds favors Rozenstruik, Overeem's loss to the massively overmatched Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva . Alistair mugged and toyed with the ambling giant before running out of steam and ducking onto a hard punch which began a series of punches that slumped the Dutchman along the fence. Lap top about to lose juice
