Good luck, SS. I'm not done with my research on this bet (and variations of it). I worked on it for about an hour last week. Hoping to get more time on it this weekend. Takes me time because I can't enter the whole scheme at once, I have to enter each combo seperate. Positive side, it gets me info for each aspect of the bet. I actually expect to find something concrete.
I would not classify this a churn-style bet, even though it has a lot of tickets, more like a longshot style bet waiting for the windfall payout to propel into the black.

AFTER MORE RESEARCH ...

This strategy is more promising than I thought.
Simply stated, your strategy will produce a profit. Without taking into account a selective race strategy, which would likely improve the outcome. Of course, you may already have KNOWN this.
I ran strategies independently thru 2016, 2017, 2018. And each year produced a standalone profit.

My research only looked at races with 10-horse fields or more, and filtered out races with first-time starters, excessive lay-off horses, and new surface switch.
The bet went 9-deep (A=1,2,3 B=4,5,6 C=7,8,9). With the A group in the 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 2-3, 2-4 positions.
Like I said, your strategy produced a profit but the better results came keying the A-group in 1st.
Of course, your selective process will improve the strategy since my research forces a play in all races.

The one variation I discovered that worked incredibly was when the A-group is keyed on top and the B-group is used twice instead on the A-group.
Like so:
A/B/B/C
A/B/C/B
A/C/B/B

Once again, a selective race process will likely even improve this one.

2 things to note ...
1)I am confident both betting strategies will work with anybodies handicapping technique because I did not have my analyzer key-on value indicators like overlays or false favorites or field competitiveness. All races that met the base perimeters were bet. Basically 10-horse fields with horses with race recency.The handicapping method employed is generic.
2)It is probably a wise idea to bet the minimum because there are instances of pool take-downs. You don't need to be splitting the pot with yourself.

I will do more research on smaller 8-9 horse fields and also more selective race process.
