Over 60 players entered the transfer portal on Monday. I don't know about you
but I believe this transfer jail break has gotten a little crazy. Many of these players
will not be signed by other schools and would have been better staying with their
former school.

Sidenote: Here's a list of top rated quarterbacks (4 star out of high school) who have
entered the portal.

Jake Bentley South Carolina ?
Joey Gatewood Auburn ?
Feleipe Franks Florida ?
Jack Allison West Virginia ?
Justin Rogers TCU ?
Dillon Cole Arizona State ?
Jack Sears USC ?
Sam Saxton Texas ?

More to come...……………………….

Help me out here.....Once a player enters the portal, are they dismissed from their current team?

No. Some players enter the portal then decide to stay with their current team.

There may be schools who won't allow a player to come back once he's entered.

LSU had a defensive back go in and out of the portal twice while he was still on the team this season.

Coastal Carolina, who has only been an FBS team for 1 year, just had 10 players enter the portal in one day! WTF?

The NCAA needs to allow schools to take more than the 25 'initial counters' if they have a certain number of players leave through the portal/transfers (say, 1 extra counter for every 2 transfers?). It's become a joke.

UF had a redshirt freshman OL start 8 games, then lost his starting spot and the very same week he was told he wasn't starting....he leaves the team.

Also, allowing kids like Justin Fields to play immediately is another joke by the NCAA. They're subjectively allowing some players immediate eligibility and others have to sit out a year.

Former Auburn quarterback Joey Gatewood has committed to Kentucky. Looks like
a good fit for Gatewood because the Wildcats are in need of quarterbacks. I'm not
sure, but I believe Gatewood will have to sit out the 2020 season and have two years
of eligibility left. With all the mistakes Nix made with Auburn this season, many think
Gatewood should have been given more opportunities to play. Water under the bridge
cause he's a Wildcat now.
