The Washington Post reported Monday evening that IG Michael Horowitz, an Obama administration appointee,
had concluded that there was, in fact, sufficient evidence to justify what Barr earlier called “spying”
on the campaign.

Barr reportedly disagreed, though a spokesperson for the DOJ dismissed reports of a dispute between Barr
and Horowitz: “Rather than speculating, people should read the report for themselves next week,” she said.

Horowitz was criticized for his 2018 report on how the FBI handled the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s
illicit email server, in which he found that officials mishandled the investigation but that political bias
was not the reason.

Oh boy that is not what I expected.

He supposedly refereed something to John Dunham, the prosecutor appointed by Barr. I don't think that all of those "nothing to see here" sunny day bullshit stories being circulated by the criminal corrupt colluding always lying democratic media are accurate.

Then again, that's not exactly going out on a limb for me to say that. After all, when have they been accurate?

Nor I. Was pretty stumped and pissed when I heard that.

Hope Willie is right. But like Dave, I'm beginning to think that the deep state is an overgrown jungle and even Trump cannot find his way through the overgrowth and slime.

Epic Fail.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]The Justice Department’s inspector general (IG) report states the FBI possessed an “authorized purpose”
to investigate the 2016 Trump campaign, but says the bureau committed a series of wrongdoings in its
handling of the operation.

It specified 17 inaccuracies involving three applications filed under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance
Act, which may have inflated the bureau’s justification for surveillance against Page, the report said.
Despite the errors, the report concluded the FBI did not act improperly in its activities.

Well how about that! It's Benghazi all over again.

It seems like Durham and Barr are disputing this report.. The fact that Horowitz can't do certain subpoena's has a narrower scope or even charge anyone with a crime , and Durham has turned his investigation into a criminal one tells me one of two things.. Horowitz is part of the swamp and unwilling to go out on a limb to point the finger where it needs to be pointed and unwilling to lay the proper blame or none of these allegations really happened and they didn't rise to the level of criminal activity.

that's where Barr and Durham come in to give their reports ..

Is there still hope?

Attorney General William Barr on Monday rejected a key conclusion of an investigation conducted
by his own agency's watchdog that a probe into Russian interference into the 2016 election was justified.

In addition, John Durham, U.S. attorney for Connecticut — whom Barr tapped in May to conduct a special
investigation into the larger question of whether any of the U.S. government efforts to investigate Russian
election interference involved improper surveillance of the Trump campaign — also criticized the IG report.

"Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened," Durham said in a statement.

Durham's investigation has become a criminal probe, people familiar with the matter have said, though it is
unclear what possible crimes are being examined.

We shall see but based on the past I'm not optimistic.

Fkn Horowitz. Another deep stater who puts blinders on when his toes touch the swamp.

AS I said above, the swamp may be too deep and too wide for even Trump.

These Departments should be shut down and restarted with thousands fewer hires, all loyal to the President.

What do 35,000 FBI agents do in 456 domestic offices and another 75 offices overseas? How about 73,000 State Dept workers?

This report just confirms overstuffed, incompetent, government offices of self serving government workers who will mobilize against a duly elected President to preserve their cushy jobs, existences. And they protect the self serving criminals amongst them. Joe Biden and Hillary come to mind. I'm sure there are thousands of others. Country be damned.

34 months in and the imagery of the most pathological liar in the history of U.S. public discourse being viewed as Diogenes remains the most highly entertaining

These Departments (all branches of federal law enforcement and judiciary) should be shut down and restarted with thousands fewer hires, all loyal to the President.

.

Brilliant

And when this President is replaced (by whatever means) then the *new hires* must all be fired and replaced with people fully loyal to the *next* President

The oaths of office will all be rewritten to replace "protect & defend the Constitution of the United States of America" with "protect and serve Donald J Trump"

lmao

The fact you don't have an inkling as to the answer for this question delights me

Let Barr do his thing

What the circus seals are too stupid to realize is that Comey and Mueller put people in jail for doing far less

Then again, what could one expect from anyone dumb enough to think stuff like Kavanaugh is a serial rapist, Trump's kids are going to jail, Trump colluded with the Russians, Obama's economy is as good as Trump's, Hillary will be POTUS until 2024.....

You look at people like that and be thankful you're genetically superior

JUST SAY NO

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]Nothing surprises me anymore. I expect stupid. It's the new norm. But it does irrate me
somewhat that Horowitz can reach such a conclusion. It just dumbs down the process.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]I'm curious. What are you going to say when 6 months from now there are no indictments.
Are you still going to give Barr & Durham a pass?

Barr and Durham would have a lot to explain for , since they seem to be going out on a ledge with a different conclusion
