Not 100% sure that I trust that. What does the caller ID show on your phone when located? What does the company do with the numbers they accumulate, sell them to telemarketers?Probably okay, but cautious

I'm not worried about it, seems to me these robocallers or whatever you want to call them just pick an area code and call all the the ten millions
    Permutations of a 7 digit number ?

LOL, I like gadgets as well as the next guy, but getting an average of 6 robocalls a day since July when I got my new cell phone isn't fun.. If I lose my cell phone I just use the landline to find it if nearby. I think your post is a good one for many many people. No harm no foul.

There is no heaven or hell, when you die, you die, simple as that !

If you want to go to church or bring your kids there, fine, it's a wholesome social activity based on BS but that's okay.

I don't know anybody that still has a landline, that's quickly going the way of payphones , 8 track tape players, typewriters, and WW2 veterans.

The only reason I'd even consider having a landline would be for a fax machine, which is pretty ancient technology

I see no real reason to have a landline, if I did have one, it would have to be a rotary dial model or the Oliver Wendal Douglas model where you have to climb a telephone pole to make a call.

Save somebody else, dead is dead, like if I swat a fly, it's dead !

The concept of Heaven/ Hell may well motivate some weaker minded folks to be good people and tend to steer them in the proper direction, but the Bible itself is a bunch or hearsay BS.

If religion/ church/Temple or whatever is the crutch you require to get through your day, that's fine and dandy clearly better than heroin or other such evil things.

To each his own and I like a cell phone also over a landline. But 2 things standout. I NEVER have to charge my landline and I NEVER lose it. That's just me.

Well double play, you have the right to
keep the old landline, you're a senior not a millennial, old habits die hard.

However few younger people actually have a landline.

If it was included in some package deal with internet/ TV/ phone service, I likely wouldn't even go and buy an old fashioned phone, I don't try to be trendy but a landline is so Fred Flintstone !

A landline is just so redundant when you have a smartphone that has unlimited minutes, text, and data, you don't even need a computer anymore !, And it costs $30, that's what I'm posting from a ,$30 phone, I just bought a laptop for black Friday ( is that racist ? ).

DP, I'm older and resist change, it's most frequently for the worse, but you have to adjust to the times.

If I ever got a landline it would be a bit of nostalgia, like a 60's rotary dial thing , or even better the real old contraption where you have a wall mounted unit and pick up a cord to speak into a microphone of sorts !

How old are you anyway Double Play ?

Dude to say religion is a fantasy you know you are acting just like the Christians who say They KNOW what happens after death. A wise person would say they simply don’t know because it’s a Fact that no one knows.

How the Hell does a thread about ringing your cellphone turn into a religious debate ?

I simply provided a link that some might find handy, no ulterior motives or bad intentions intended

Valid, also implies you are not a Christian, my parents told me I was a Protestant, but we never went to church !

In my 20's , I called myself an agnostic, by about age 35, I got honest with myself and said,, self this is all a pulled of crap !
