He punched Overeem who fell against the fence at 4:56 of the 5th and final round. Jair then turned his back and began to walk away and Overeem got off the canvas. How was Jair going to kill him with 4 seconds left on the clock as he walked away from Overeem?

It was a bad stoppage. The same exact thing happened Reyes/OSP and Dan was the ref and he let it go and it went to a decision. I mean, the exact same thing happened but OSP didn't get off the canvas in that fight.

No other choice but to stop it. I think the only reason there’s debate about an early stoppage is because the fight was almost over. If those punches land in round 2, there’s no debate.
