I'm a Sooners fan and pretty much agree with what everyone says. I would have preferred OU not going back to the playoff until they have their defensive pieces in place. They aren't there yet, but they are heading the right direction under DC Grinch. The OL is young, but they started coming together in the last month of the season. It's why the Sooners went to a more grind it out running game. They might be a little more of a handful in the playoff than people giving them credit for. I think the Baylor team they beat has one of the better defenses in the country. And they are super well coached. OU pretty much dominated everyone else in the conference in the last month. But mistakes have nearly done them in. Go back and look at the stats, and the games aren't close. Even with Baylor, OU out-yardaged them 433-265. But when you are -2 in turnover margin or more, you fail to cover the spread 75% of the time. OU is a high variance team this year. If they can hold on to the ball, they can be a matchup nightmare for anybody. When they don't, they can be a very average team.
