Bitch slapped on national TV. Weak ass big 12 should not have a team in the playoff. Bama would have made it much more interesting even without Tua and despite 2 losses. Hell Auburn or Florida would have made it more interesting.

Am I wrong to think this? Will OU be competitive? Who else should be in the playoff?

Agreed. The line is -10 against LSU. Tough call on who else. I'm not sure any other team particularly stood out.

Bama had their shot. Agree it would have been better playoff and best 4 teams but OKLAHOMA did what they had to

Yep.

Bama did themselves a favor too, they would’ve gotten demolished in the Playoffs.

Oklahoma can be competitive here. I wouldn't just assume they get blown out.

Alabama did not deserve to get in & was definitely not one of the 4 best teams in the country this year, not even close.

I'm a Sooners fan and pretty much agree with what everyone says. I would have preferred OU not going back to the playoff until they have their defensive pieces in place. They aren't there yet, but they are heading the right direction under DC Grinch. The OL is young, but they started coming together in the last month of the season. It's why the Sooners went to a more grind it out running game. They might be a little more of a handful in the playoff than people giving them credit for. I think the Baylor team they beat has one of the better defenses in the country. And they are super well coached. OU pretty much dominated everyone else in the conference in the last month. But mistakes have nearly done them in. Go back and look at the stats, and the games aren't close. Even with Baylor, OU out-yardaged them 433-265. But when you are -2 in turnover margin or more, you fail to cover the spread 75% of the time. OU is a high variance team this year. If they can hold on to the ball, they can be a matchup nightmare for anybody. When they don't, they can be a very average team.

I'd be surprised if they don't get ran off the field

The only way that happens is if they turn the ball over. They are going to score their share of points.

The Big 12 was 6-0 ATS last bowl season. It is a much better conference than some here say (fyi, I did not go to school in that conference).

With some rest the OU defense might hang in there, they have good athletes but are on the field a lot with the quick strike O that Oklahoma posesses.

BUT LSU has a superior offense, they overwhelmed GA, could have been even uglier, and Burrows is clearly a future NFL star, maybe the best in years...

OU will score 28+ LSU d isn’t that great . Ga had a 2nd string offense yesterday and missed wide open receivers all game. Should be a great game shootout

OU may be able to put up 28+ but I think LSU puts up 42+ on the OU D. I know OU has some talent especially on O but I think their D is a step down from Georgia. Statistically the OU D has been pretty good but because of who they played I think they are worse than their statistical ranking, if that makes sense. I am also biased after betting OU and then watching K-State seemingly score at will and win outright. I also think LSU's D may be underestimated (have watched most of their games), in part bc of the big leads they have had. I think LSU wins by 17+. We'll see.

LSU doesn't want to get in a shootout with Oklahoma because it will be the last team that scores will win. Okla wins a shootout!

I see this kind of thread every year... (*** Bama beat the craps out of Clemson***) because such and such. Give me the "no chance" under dog with arguably the brightest offensive mind in college. But I'll wait until everyone push the line to 14. The long lay off may hurt LSU... just saying
