MICKEY'S MAGIC will probably get the lead and I don't see anything to press him too hard. The ML favorite METAL MASTER will be overbet due to that last romp in the slop so I'm gonna toss him entirely. Looking for the double dropper MUFASA'S LEGACY to sit off MICKEY'S shoulder and take him down in the stretch.

i never play calder, but happened to be watching at the time i read your post. nice call. i love to read intelligent analysis. winners are winners, but it's always helpful to know why a 'capper likes a horse. anyway, well done.

Thanks mazel - I always enjoy reading your analysis as well. I've learned a few things about pedigree capping from your write-ups. I've always been more of a pace guy but in certain races it can help to mix it up a bit.

I'm torn here between two horses. RED SKY AT MORNING took decent action in his debut for Tortora but had a horrendous start and was finished from the gate. This horse could very easily show up at a price with a better start today. WICKLOW SERMON has been off almost a year but has been working steadily for new trainer Ritvo. Looking to get into the money at double digits. The only speed here belongs to LET'S RAP and that speed is suspect at best. SHELDON'S SUCCESS is dropping two notches and should fare better today but 5-2 from way out there? hmmm.
The bet: $3 exacta box 3/7,8,12 $5 WPS #3

Looks like LET'S RAP had less than suspect speed after all.

Looks to be a simple 2 horse race between SETTLE DOWN and LIZ'S BANDIT. I'll choose the bandit for the blinker move. Bain will be rushing to the front from the outside - let's hope the colt gets brave.

LIZ'S BANDIT runs third and we've given back all the profits from race 1. Starting over in race 4...

Race 4
DANCING DILEMMA needs only to follow up her last with something similar and she should be right there against the chalky inner two. I know it's tough to come right back against winners, but I'm stubborn.
The bet: $1 trifecta key #6 in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with 1,2,8.

No luck in the 4th...skipped the 5th.

Race 6
I love the rail horse at the big, big price. Gonna end the day with this one.

Great pick I think, watching TVG they didnt show the race, but I thought it just came across the screen that it came in 2nd and paid pretty good, I had 10 across. Later

heck, i dont know if i saw that right or not, it takes pinnacle 45 minutes to grade horses. now i thought it said race 5 the 1 horse came in 2nd with the big price.
