OSU +2

Big fan of Venables, No idea how he is going to scheme to deal with Fields and Dobbins in space.

LSU will curb stomp OU.

I think OSU just has a smaller hill to climb then Clemson. OSU attacks space as well as any team in College today. Yes, LSU is pretty good at it too, no coincident they are both likely meet in champ game. Yes, Clemson is a very good team, they will put points up in this game. The issue I see is with their Defense vs OSu offense. Clemson has a 6'4 245Lb Whip and a slightly smaller clone at Mike. The Whip is Chad Smith, a 5yr player who only started outside of special teams in his 5th year. While not unusual, except his body frame and hips are more suited as a DE. How he stayed at Lb under Venables is very strange. He was a LB all thru high school, and was listed at 6'4 back then.

OSU is a team that exploits space. You better have a special 2nd step, and very good hips to take on Fields and Dobbins in space. From what I've watched on film neither of Clemson's backers fit that formula. Now looking at Clemson's schedule I see no teams that have the skill players on offense to come close to Fields or Dobbins in space. Now I have great respect for Venables, he knows exactly what he will be facing I can assure you of that. How will he scheme with either safeties or corners, to cover the space that OSU will be attacking all night?

Changing out players at the end of the season, asking them to play positions they haven't all year is nearly impossible to pull off. So he has to stick with his starters at Whip and mike as far as I can see.

I see a lot of points getting scored in this game. Trevor Lawarence, if he wants to sit out next year, will need a great playoff this year. Clemson desperately wants him back next season. Seems like they have different agendas heading into the playoffs. Will be a very good game.

Clemson played no one last year and beat Bama like a rented Mule. It's a very different team this year especially on defense. They just are not as good in the front 7, and Bama's style of offense played right into Clemson's strength.

Any other thoughts are welcome.

No lie.

I read an article today regarding Lawrence possibly sitting out next season.

Think about it. Lets say Clemson wins the championship and he is impressive. Whats the incentive of him coming back next season?

Anyone want to cough up the $100 million dollar insurance contract for Lawrence to put a Clemson helmet again next year? Or the $5 million it will take to hire a team of lawyers to enforce it?

Good or Bad in playoff, I'm thinking Lawrence does not play next year, his family has means, and Lawrence will be free to sell his image all over the world. He has nothing to prove and nothing to gain except a broken hip just like Tua.

Brady is on his way out of the game. New England will spend anything it takes to get Lawrence. Maybe a rule change allows Lawrence into the league next year. But no way is he at Clemson playing against Wake Forrest on a Weds night next year.

That article, by Vince Thompson, is why this dumb ass is spewing this garbage too. It ain't happening. It was on the Paul Finebaum show, he hates Clemson. Granted, I think he should be allowed to leave after this year, but a year without Football would destroy that boy mentally...

15000+ posts too, How do you get humans to post 15000+ times? This is a gold mine. I promise I won't get this one worked up in knots, like lil Stevie. I really did not know how many unstable people there are here. of course we could work something out, I'll take 25 cents a post. I can get the dirty lil southern man to 50,000 posts in no time. @)

I laugh at lil guys who never put on a helmet, trying to declare how a year off would effect someone else. I know you live in a trailer, and likely on food stamps. There is nothing to be ashamed of. But, with Lawrence this is a business decision. It has nothing to do with emotions. Finebaum, LMFAO does anybody listen to that gumby man.

The notion that Lawrence would sit out next year is absurd. He's 100 times more likely to play FOUR years at Clemson than two.

Oklahoma can win this is Hurts plays his best games

rxb@ll:discoball::discoball::kissingbb

Did you know Jalen Hurts owns a John Deere lawn tractor and uses it to help the elderly
around the Oklahoma campus? Now that's his best game every time he helps out some
little old lady.
