Volkan Oezdemir ground game is complete shit, of course Daniel Cormier made quick work of him, but Kelly Anundson embarrassed him, Daniel Cormier fucked up his face.
Dominick Reyes is the most comparable opponent to Aleksandar Rakić , Volkan Oezdemir lost that fight due to low volume, Volkan Oezdemir was not able to secure and take down, he took top control once when Reyes slipped. It was not Reyes best performance I'm hoping that Reyes was just having a bad night. Thats why Reyes is a -350 dog to Bones Jones it would be higher , but i think Vegas is factoring in Jones doing cocaine for 2 weeks strait before the fight.
Anthony Smith was able to take Volkan Oezdemir to the ground at will later in the fight when Volkan Oezdemir got gased. Oezdemir’s undoubted power but he has not faced a fighter with the speed that Aleksandar Rakić posses. Volkan statagy is always pretty much the same, he is going to come forward, like he always does in all of his fights. After UFC Uruguay win, Volkan Oezdemir details hand injury that has plagued him since the Cormier fight. After a knockout win over Ilir Latifi, Oezdemir opened up about problems with his right hand that has made it hard to even punch. Fortunately for him, he managed to defeat the durable Ilir Latifi via knockout 4:31 into the second round of their bout, Latif is 36 and 5 10 and was gased after he dropped Oezdemir on his head in the first 10 seconds of the fight, Latif team could have stopped the fight at that point he was a punching bag after that.
