Yankees' German suspended 81 games..

For domestic violence. This seems kind of to harsh to me considering he wasn't even charged with or convicted of anything. He's likely guilty, but whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty ?
I don't like this punishment with no decision of any crime.

I'm not saying beating your wife is okay but I don't see why MLB is involved in this at all. Let it be a criminal matter and if convicted then whatever sentence the courts give him it is what it is. It's much more than other similar ballplayers have received historically

I believe all of these Monopolistic Professional Leagues overstep. You are correct, he is likely guilty and I find the act reprehensible. With that said, if the police and DA did not act to move forward on charges and prosecute who is MLB to become judge and jury.

He will be back soon enough , out some 60 some odd games, and potentially a near ace upon his return ,he was 18-4 or something like that last season, W/L record isn't the greatest measure of a pitcher but you don't put up a record like that if you suck ! Chapman got far less for the same thing.

German also makes minimum wage, I wouldn't trade him, he could just be exactly what you need a couple of months into the season when someone like Tanaka, Severino, Cole, etc. Is injured long term, even if it takes a season to get him back on track and straightened out, he has the potential to be one of the best in 2021, I think he will be valuable this year and strong with his shortened season. I'd want a helluva lot for him in a trade !
