Looking Back at Week 2:

New York 0 @ D.C. 27: (DC -7, o/u 48)

  • NY yikes… McGloin looked awful and was pouting on the sidelines and criticizing coaches. Ex WR took a shot at him on twitter saying he sucks in practice too. They have trainwreck potential…. Stay tuned
  • D.C. continues to look really good. With Thompkins back they now have a trio of good WR with Ross and Rogers. They haven’t played a road game yet though.
  • DC did benefit from a Pick 6.

Tampa Bay 9 Seattle 17 (TB -2, o/u 44)

  • Full Disclosure: I missed the entire second half, so am going off of what I read
  • Both offenses struggled, both defenses had TD
  • TB was without week 1 QB Murray
  • Seattle passionate fan base
  • TB hasn’t played a home game yet

Dallas 25 LA 18 (DAL -5.5, o/u 45.5)

  • Both teams got their starting QB back; Johnson (LA) and Jones (DAL) playing in first XFL game
  • Turnover fest in the first half, but offensive explosion in 4th quarter
  • LA Defense with back to back bad games against HOU & DAL

St. Louis 24 @ Houston 28: (Dallas -7.5,o/u 47.5)

  • Entertaining game, both teams looked pretty solid
  • Dallas tough opening schedule: @DAL and @HOU. Hung tough, now they get to go home
  • Houston 2 long INT returns led to 2 TD

Looking Ahead to Week 3:

Time to Prepare:

  • -1 Day: Houston, Dallas
  • Regular: Tampa Bay, Seattle, St. Louis, LA
  • +1 Day: NY, DC

Travel

  • Back to Back Home Games: Seattle, LA
  • Back to Back Road Games: Dallas, New York
  • Long Flight: DC to LA (first DC road game)

Houston (2-0)@ Tampa Bay (0-2)

  • #3 Houston Offense vs #3 Tampa Bay Defense
  • #5 Tampa Bay Offense vs #2 Houston Defense
  • TB Home Opener and first Houston road game
  • TB extra day to prepare

Dallas (1-1) @ Seattle (1-1)

  • #2 Dallas Offense vs #6 Seattle Defense
  • #6 Seattle Offense vs #5 Dallas Defense
  • Seattle extra day to prepare

New York (1-1) @ St. Louis (1-1)

  • #8 NY Offense vs #4 STL Defense
  • #4 STL Offense vs #7 NY Defense
  • St. Louis Home Opener.
  • NY extra game to prepare

DC (2-0) @ LA (0-2)

  • #1 DC Offense vs #8 LA Defense
  • #7 LA Offense vs #1 DC Defense
  • DC Long flight and first road game
  • DC extra game to prepare

My Power Rankings

  1. DC (2-0) - #1 Offense and #1 Defense through 2 weeks. Good QB and 3 talented WR. Got to take it on the road now.
  2. Houston (2-0) - Talented QB and playmaking defense. Also haven’t played a road game yet.
  3. St. Louis (1-1) - Really tough schedule to open the season. Hung tough and now get a home game
  4. Dallas (1-1) - Got it going in the 4th Quarter in Jones’ first game. Should continue to improve as he gets more time
  5. Seattle (1-1) - Starting to see a drop off now. They hung with DC okay in week 1 and won an ugly home opener in game 2. Offense has work to do.
  6. LA (0-2) - Started to get it going on offense near the end as Johnson got more comfortable in his first game. Look to build off that. Defense has really struggled with HOU and DAL.
  7. New York (1-1) - Have to put them ahead of TB since they won head-to-head, but brutal showing in week 2. Trending down in a big way.
  8. Tampa Bay (0-2) - Week 1 loss to NY looks even worse after week 2. They haven’t played a home game yet so maybe that will get them going. Huge concern at QB position.

Dallas offense looked really good when they weren't turning the ball over today, moving it up and down the field. 6.7ypp so I'm interested to see what the line is on that game. Jones had a command/quick decision making that you see at the NFL level.

I know Seattle grinded a win at home but their offense still looks like the worst in this league. They hit 1 68 yard TD and really did nothing the rest of the game.

Agreed. I have Dallas and STL circled

Dallas coming in kinda rich at -4.5 but it makes sense. Seattle O is terrible. Was hoping to get -3ish.

Thought on dallas +650 to win it all? I think they're #3 in the league right now power rankings wise but DC/Houston may be a little overvalued right now since they just played a combined 4 cupcakes at home. They look like the two best teams but they've also had it very easy so far.

STL is good but they seem like more of a high floor team, not really top tier. They beat the bad teams, lose to the good teams.

Dallas with Jones could have the best QB in the league.

Any thoughts on plays Mikey? I going to look at live over bets again I’m thinking

Feeling pretty square but I teased down Houston and DC. First road games, so we’ll see but they just seem in a different class in terms of talent and coaching from their opponents.

Will look for 2H plays in other games
