That isn't belitting factory or farming jobs at all. The media is so fucking stupid.

Of all the things you could credibly attack Bloomberg on and they waste their time with this BS.

I guess they can't really go after him for his stance on mass migration since they agree with it.

Also, it isn't a campaign speech. He is at an event talking about the changing dynamics of the labor market. Whether you agree or disagree with his point, it isn't offensive to anyone. Snowflakes to the left of me, snowflakes to the right.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]I disagree. He's an elitist who looks down upon your everyday Joe sixpack.

He can teach you how to be a farmer? He couldn't run a farm by himself if
his life depended on it. Fortunately he him with all his billions he doesn't
even have to know how to wipe his own ass.

They take 30 seconds of a 60 minute conversation and try to make him look like he is saying anyone can do a job and it is beneath him. He may be an elitist but that wasn't his point at all.

Farming has become highly mechanized as have other jobs is all he was saying. The dynamics of the labor market are fluid and he was commenting on some of the 21st century challenges.

I like Bloomberg's network, I think he has the best financial network but I would never want him to be President...

However, if the critiques of him are going to be shit like that and the faux-outrage over his stop and frisk comments then it is just a joke.

Calling his comments about redlining racist was a joke too.

Maybe the media figures there is no way Bloomberg gonna get elected on his policies like increasing refugee resettlement by 900% so they will just drive the public to like him by lying about him 24/7 like Trump? Could work.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]Perception is everything. To your average Joe he comes across as being an asshole.

It doesn't matter that what he said may be spot on, the guy bellied up at the bar
at your local VFW in bumfuck Kansas looks at him as says to himself, fuck that
cocksucker, who the hell does he think he is?

Everyone thinks Trump is rude and crude but he relates to the middle class.

And that ain't no joke. That's a big part of his genius.

A lot of reasons to say "Fuck em, who does this guy think he is", I don't like Bloomberg as a politician and think he has a lot of horrible ideas.

Just saying a 30 second soundbite taken out of context not really 1 of them, nor the other issues that I see the media going after him about (stop and frisk, his explanation of a major component of the housing bubble)

They're gonna make people start liking him with some of these "critiques", lol

My grandfather was a farmer. He had to be a mechanic, agronomist, know about animal husbandry, carpentry, know water systems, the list goes on. More to it than Mike realizes. I do agree with Mike that we need a New York businessman billionaire in the White House.

Condescending and stupid, very consistent with his policies like banning soda pop

Since the media is looking to him to save 2020 for them, I don't think they're trying to torpedo him

Saying we used to be more of an agrarian society in a sitdown at Oxford is too much of a truthbomb in 2020 apparently.

It's just absurd to me Bloomberg wants to grab the guns, raise taxes (to be fair, he probably has no interest in doing this but it is political necessity to say he does now), create an endless stream of migration (oh baby, he wants this shit for sure)

But since he started doing well in the polls, the right is critiquing him about 20 second soundbites on farming and his criminal justice record in a city that had its murder rate cut in half under him. And that halving is after a 2/3rd decrease under Guilani.

Maybe this is why I can't follow politics on a daily basis.

Context, PatsFan, context...

"The elderly should not get medical care to save money"

"Anyone can be a farmer. Plant a seed, water it and watch it grow!"

"Young black and Latino men don't know how to behave in the workplace" face)(*^%

This is what happens when you have more money than brains. Doomberg personifies "old rich racist white guy" and he's running as a Democrat. Imagine the unrelenting vicious attacks if he were our Mitt Romney for this election cycle.

You gotta admit, the campaign ads write themselves. You don't have to live in Flyover country to know that Doomberg is a pompous, ignorant out-of-touch elitist asshole.

From soda pop to guns, Styrofoam to sodium, Doomberg is a little Napoleon without the funky hat.

By the time he's done out foot-and-mouthing Biden, his buy-in campaign will be sunk.

Send in the next clown!

I suppose if we are going to give Mike a bad time on anything, it probably should be his workplace demeanor. The upcoming debate should be a good show.

You're just speaking to the optics of the situation because of all the baggage he has, I'm not saying that won't sink him or giving him any benefit of the doubt about who he is.

Just saying I don't agree with any of the recent criticism about his comments about stop and frisk, redlining or even the extremely polarizing issue of farming. And it is somewhat amusing where some of these critiques are coming from.

Just not a smart thing to say under any circumstances. A horrible analogy, doesn't support any argument he could be possibly trying to make.

Anyone can be a producer, just push the record button on your smartphone

Anyone can be a chef, just crack an egg into a frying pan

Anyone can play basketball, just dribble and shoot

Anyone can be a tax accountant, just enter the W-2 on Turbo Tax

Anyone can be a politician, just promise enough people you're going to give them stuff (ok, this is actually factual)

Anyone can report the news, just cite unnamed reliable sources and say anything you want

Anyone can be convicted of rape, just tell Barbanman a Republican raped you

So let me spin this around. MOST farmers and factory workers are pro Trump. So Bloomberg really has nothing to lose by saying what he said.

the same way Trump will belittle a group that he knows that won’t for him.

seems like Bloomberg is going to try to “outTrump” Trump.

Politics getting dirtier and dirtier
