Deontay Wilder told Lance Pugmire he is definitely exercising his rematch clause for a summer trilogy against Tyson Fury.

Wilder said he is re-evaluating retaining asst. trainer Mark Breland, because his team knew "I'd rather die in the ring than have the towel thrown in. I'm a warrior."

Wilder also had harsh words for referee Kenny Bayless, alleging Bayless declined to effectively confront Fury over a slew of punches to the back of Wilder's head and neck after telling Wilder he would disqualify him if he did the same in pre-fight dressing room.

That was a lock to happen, he has no choice really but to exercise it.

He isn't getting any younger and Fury is still the biggest payday he can get by far.

Now that Fury with superior dedication/training has closed the power gap, I doubt it goes much differently than Saturday but still the right move for Wilder.

Maybe they do it on UK next time since Fury will have to be the A-side.
