I've always had Spectrum, moving so should I switch to Dish or DirectTV?

Google'ing now but those that have something other than Spectrum (Time Warner) what's been your experience with Dish and DirectTV both Internet and cable quality? Specturm has been fine but not great and I'm not ready to switch to say Hulu, etc. Too many kids and a wife that would rather just turn on the tv and watch.

Talk to Diego, and get yourself a Prodigy box from him. I get every channel I'd ever want, and once you pay for the box, there is
no monthly fee.

A bunch of us in here have them.

I use a "Bushay Box" for $110 upfront and $15 monthly for 5,500 + channels, you of course need high speed home WIFI, it's really heavy on sports and gets you all the local channels and HBO's, etc.

yep, nobody listens bro...

Prodigy, Hustle. Savage, etc all better than anything you pay monthly for, including a “bushay box”...lol

I know you’re satisfied so you don’t think you are, but you’re getting ripped off. We pay $0 monthly, and get 10x the shit you get...

Thanks, while I could handle running one of those boxes my wife and kids can't. I'm also Leary of the legality of those boxes. Not necessarily worried about getting busted but when I have everyone over to watch a game I don't really want to say "hey hop on this gambling forum and talked to Diego." That would be an awkward conversation!

I also have a large 4K tv, maybe those boxes are fantastic quality but I want really clear HD streaming too. Thanks for the feedback, I should probably ask elsewhere as I wondered if many would respond with the boxes Matty and others quoted.

I got Dish with Sling built in box so I can watch it anywhere

if you want HBO/CMax have to use the app as ATT/Direct has took the channels from them even regional sports channels are being held hostage

Direct has MLB/NFL packages Dish doesn’t

today I would go ATT/Direct

spectrum prices are getting out of control but with a full family you may be better off staying with them. you would only save 30.00 max a month and have issues with these other venues also.

I don't really see much difference between the two. With Dish, you have to inspect your bill every month as new fees and charges seem to pop up out of no where. Directv has a chronic, long term problem with the picture freezing on the secondary boxes (you can look it up on the internet). We have high speed cable for internet access and Hulu still had stream interruptions so I hesitate to go strictly wireless. I would recommend taking the best deal you can find for Dish or Directv...understand the lenght of committment...take the shortest one and then re-evaluate when that commitment period is over. That will be the same time your discounts will end so it really is not that much of a hassle to switch.
