Ohio State is the first college football program to pay four assistant coaches
$1 million dollars. The Ohio State will pay its on-the-field coaches $13.375
million during the 2020 season. Counting Ryan Day (head coach) there are
five millionaires on the football coaching staff. (A couple of weeks ago I talked
with a successful Division II head coach who was making $138,000 and happy
for it.)
Ryan Day, Head Coach, $5,375,000
Kerry Coombs, DC, $1,400,000
Kevin Wilson, OC, $1,200,000
Greg Mattison, co-DC, $1,133,000
Larry Johnson, DL, $1,133,000
Greg Studrawa, OL, $700,000
Tony Afford, RBs, $618,000
Brian Hartline, WRs, $555,000
Al Washington, LBs, $515,000
Matt Barnes, STs, $450,000
Corey Dennis, QBs, $300,000
Mickey Marotti, Strength & Conditioning, $801,150. Damn good to be the S&C
coach at Ohio State.
Men, more power to them but these high priced salaries are going to crash and
burn one of these days. It's coming...………………..
