she's using a word that means FACT and claiming these are simply opinions that should not be taken seriously

“Maddow did not use any typical opinion-markers when she stated that OAN ‘really literally is paid Russian propaganda,’” he said.Siegel said Maddow is not the sort of person an audience would expect to misuse “literally.”
“She is a graduate of Stanford and Oxford Universities and a Rhodes Scholar,” he said. “In fact, on the show, Maddow regularly uses ‘literally’ in its primary meaning,” as she did in these examples:
 • “Meanwhile, today the Trump administration tried to push through one of the most controversial judicial nominees of Trump’s time in office. They literally nominated him to the job two days ago.”
 • “It’s literally an emergency, a formally declared emergency.”
 • The U.S. military [is] apparently diverting C17 cargo flights to stop at President Trump’s golf course in Scotland, literally to have U.S. airmen stay at his golf resort.”
 • And: “They are literally de-funding the day care center at Andrews Air Force Base.”
Thus Maddow’s use of “literally” is consistent, he said, and “her audience would not have understood her assertion that OAN ‘really literally is paid Russian propaganda’ as metaphorical hyperbole.”

funny you nutter libs NEVER comment on the situation at hand you simply avoid the subject and flip it to something nobody is discussing. If Hannity gets sued for 10M and humiliated in court THEN start a thread and I will gladly take him to task. it's people like you that allow maddow to peddle years of russian collusion lies....it's people like you that created Trump...all i ask is that you keep it going because it exposes the left as creepy serial liars and opens the eyes of independents that are moving to the Conservative side. please continue

trial finally resumes next week...the judge is an Obama appointee so not expecting justice

Judge Cynthia Bashant issued an order Wednesday converting in-person arguments in the $10 million Herring Networks lawsuit to a “telephonic hearing” for the same time — 10:30 a.m. May 19.
“The parties and the public may access the hearing by calling the court’s teleconference number: (888) 557-8511 prior to 10:30 a.m.,” said the order. “When prompted, enter the access code, which is 6968297, followed by the pound sign (#).”

I don't care one way or the other. In the big sceem of things she's nothing more than a harmless carpet muncher.
c'mon, dave, you have to see the larger implications here. if she wins then the precedent is set that talking news heads are not responsible for telling the truth. you can completely make up a story and know there is legal precedent to worry about litigation.

a win for OAN should be a big deal as way too many people (see barman, donger) believe every word that cooper/maddow/Cuomo say on air and after a viral spread that disinformation becomes fact. if there's legal and financial repercussions to their fabrication of stories then we're all better off.

Well Roll as I see it 10 mil is a drop in the bucket for people like her.

Also public figures like Maddow are the subject of more scrutiny, so the burden of proof also
has to include actual malice. They have to prove the libelous claim was made on purpose or with
reckless disregard for the truth. That's not an easy thing to prove.

She also pulled a liberal judge and we all know they make up the law as they go along.

Of course OAN has deep pockets so they can push this a far as they want.

With all the corruption in government this is small potatoes to me.
