I am one day behind you at April 4 for US.

NY and some others to your point will be further.

Will be interesting where the death rate goes - I would think it goes from 1.5% where it is now to about 4%. Then peaks and goes back down. I think we are a few weeks away from that peak.

Fredo's brother has done a decent job considering Washington, NY and California had the shortest lead times for preparation. Now you get to a state like LA and a city like New Orleans which are both negligent in terms of not being smart enough to prepare. Now the mayor of NO is saying the federal government should had told them to shut down Mardi Gras. Chicago was totally unprepared too although the governor there inherited a huge across-the-board mess from Obama's best friend.

Update:

"“This is not going to get better soon,” New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said"

"...
Dr. Craig Smith, who heads the surgery department at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, said the hospital will probably be forced into “apocalyptic scenarios” in the coming weeks in which ventilators and intensive care unit beds will need to be rationed."

"...
Worry for the poorest was being echoed around the world.

In India, a lockdown covering the country’s 1.3 billion people has put untold numbers out of work and left many families struggling to feed themselves. Tens of thousands in New Delhi were forced to flee their homes, with no way to pay the rent, journeying back to their native villages. Women in saris held babies on their hips. Others toted their belongings in bags normally used for cement.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologized for the hardships that the lockdown brought but said, “These tough measures were needed to win this battle.”

"...As others tightened controls, China continued to ease its restrictions, following the ruling Communist Party’s declaration of victory over the coronavirus. Flights from Hubei province at the epicentre of the country’s outbreak resumed Sunday.

Update:

"‘Unprecedented’ surge in 911 calls

New Yorkers are hearing a constant wail of sirens as weary ambulance crews respond to a record volume of 911 calls.

The city’s ambulances are responding to about 6,000 calls a day — more than 50 per cent more than average. Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro said Sunday that the last five days have been the busiest stretch in the history of the city’s EMS operation.

“This is unprecedented,” de Blasio said. “We have never seen our EMS system get this many calls — ever.”

Nigro said the surge is delaying responses to lower-level calls.

The guy has gotten a little too comfortable on TV as he daily ramblings have crossed over to only include whining, anedotes and defending his state. That state, BTW, is covertly berated every day by the docs on the task force for being non-compliant. Trump gave him a ship, 20 beds are filled. He gave them ventilators, they sat in a NJ warehouse. Cuomo over-inflates his needs so he can come off as a hero of the people...the reality is NY was unprepared, got a late start and citizens are dying because of it. He can't blame the feds for any of that.

I believe he just signed an EO to forcefully take ventilators from the NY private citizens who are not currently using them. This is a problem.

It's even more ironic that the dumb SOB declined to buy ventilators a couple years back. Thank God I dont have to raise my family in that type of shit state.

Maybe the people of NY will start to see clearly.
