Because my money management betting without keying on any horse didn't work out
i have now have to make changes based on my data.
And for those who thought i should box my top 4 horses here's why not.
Based on 10 dollar exactas boxing my top 4 or sometimes 3 my net loss would of been -754.00.
And this with a winning record of 21-14 by doing this....60%
That's right by boxing my horses my percentage was that and still lost a ton.
You bet on games winning at 60% you are a winner....But not this sport.
This is the data i have come up with.
By keying on my top pick and boxing with the other 3 or 2 sometimes these are my stats.
Record 15-20....+265.00
Taking my first 2 picks and boxing with the 3 and 4 picks...-260.00
So based on the 10 dollar exactas the 265 is a paltry sum but still a plus.
But lets take an even giant step.
By eliminating one of the horses what would it be.
Based on 10 dollar exactas +717.00...and i know which horse to eliminate.
Its my second pick...The second pick is useless to me. It doesn't do me any good.
First of all i only hit 3 out of 35 races with my first 2 picks.
Secondly i lower my overhead greatly which is the key to winning. Spending money
to catch gimmicks doesn't work especially the kind of races i play which are moderate low payouts.
30 out of 35 races my first 2 horses were 1st or 2nd. And when my top pick failed my second pick
did its job but failed to get the exacta anyway usually...That happened only 3 times i got the exacta....
So my second pick is useless in the grand scheme of things.
My biggest winner came at Oaklawn which paid 32.60 but failed getting the exacta.
So with that fail i can give you a more balanced exacta payout my races are...30.47 for 2 dollars
So that's it taking my top pick and boxing with the 3rd and 4th picks. I,ll lose more races
but with the low overhead i should be a winner. I dunno if 35 races is enough data but i,m
gonna find out.....Now i gonna back it up...LOL
