It's all over New Orleans (because of Mardi Gras) and it's hit Miami and Fort Lauderdale decent

those are some crazy blue place New Orleans and Miami—
disasters...

Miami Beach and/or Miami-Dade County permitted a wild gay beach fest just two weeks ago - first person to die in Miami caught or was said to catch it there - I love NO but allowing Mardi Gras was grave mistake - the only one right on the ball was Adam Silver - literally did not wait - the NBA was cancelled on the spot - and it would have been rampant - everyone is handling the ball, in each others face - u could have seen 50% with the virus if they let them play for another week

Chinatowns?
Smaller, cramped living conditions
No suburban or urban spacing?
Mayors like Bill DeBlasio telling you to go out?

But mostly because of large, concentrated, populations living on top of each other

In CT, our concentration is in Fairfield County, which is a NYC Suburb

Like many counties in CA, Republican communities with our 55/45 vote can never overcome the more populated 90/10 cities

I'm not going to disagree that they are definitely the ones having the biggest issues with it, but it could be argued that many have the greatest concentration of people in the smallest areas (NY being a great example), assuming that the close proximity issue is what's causing it. I don't see it here in Texas but we do have a lot more wide, open spaces (as the song goes). Of course, that opens up another can of worms on whether the shut down/shelter-in-place was necessary everywhere and maybe the economy didn't need to be slammed across the nation.

no doubt. they:
1) don't mind living on top of each other
2) are constantly in crowded public transportation systems
3) believed in bullshit like banning single-use plastics in favor of petri dishes for viruses (fill up your own coffee mug, bring reusable germ-infested bags everywhere
4) were encouraged by their mayors to celebrate in massive gatherings in early stage of outbreak (mardi gras, Chinese ny festivals)

and your last point is 100% true. because of statewide decisions large cities relatively unaffected (Pittsburgh, Buffalo/Syracuse/Rochester, Jacksonville) must abide by same rules as the big cities that control their states
