Funny how fate has a way of removing something from the front burner completely of the stove.

well i guess he's still around at least ... https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/apr/7/john-durhams-investigation-into-2016-election-irre/

Mr. Durham is looking into this controversy and into other matters. He is investigating Mr. Brennan’s relationship with the Steele dossier. Was it used in the 2017 assessment? Did former FBI Director James Comey and former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe insist on the dossier being part of the assessment? If so, why? And most importantly, did Mr. Brennan dissemble about its use?I had been led to believe that Mr. Durham’s investigations would be wrapping up by now. Over three years ago, George Neumayr and I had fingered Mr. Brennan as the chief culprit behind the plot to implicate Donald Trump in a phony collusion with Mr. Putin to steal the election from Hillary. With the rise of the coronavirus scare and the government’s shutdown of the economy, it seemed to me that the investigation of Mr. Brennan and his gang was going to disappear.

Now with The Wall Street Journal’s piece last week and the Washington Examiner’s follow-up on it, I am full of hope. The attorney general is reportedly in favor of rendering his conclusions by the summer. Last month, he said in an interview that Mr. Durham is “making good progress on a lot of fronts.” Certainly as of today there is plenty of activity from Mr. Durham and his team.Yet, I am left to wonder, why was The Wall Street Journal the only newspaper to run this story on Mr. Durham’s activities, and the Washington Examiner the only newspaper to follow up? For that matter, why did no newsgathering source pick up on my and Mr. Neumayr’s investigation of the intelligence community’s surveillance of the Trump campaign years ago?

perhaps just another smokescreen but I'm starting to toss some faith in Barr and Durham....

at worst we get a little more info, at best it's the beginning of a case larger than Watergate

  • Four footnotes from the Justice Department inspector general’s report on the Trump-Russia probe will soon be declassified.
  • Two Republican Senate chairmen have pushed for months to declassify the footnotes, saying that they will shed new light on what information the FBI gathered on the Steele dossier.
  • A source familiar with the matter says that at least one footnote contains information regarding possible Russian disinformation in the dossier.

Not sure Barr can come out with these kinds of statements and not do anything about it. He would look pretty foolish with all bark and no bite

remember that several very high ranking BHO holdovers in the military, WH, and DOJ resigned over the past 3 years and are now able to testify unless they get whacked first. The big one should be Rogers who retired almost 2 years ago but is thought to have been privy to the insider discussions and was perhaps the only person at his level that wasn't bitching about Trump's firing of Brennan.

and as you say Barr would not be making the accusation of the greatest travesty in US history if he wasn't planning on destroying some Deep Staters very shortly.

that's my new theory (aka hope) and I'm sticking to it for the next 3 weeks. If nothing happens by May 1 then I'll again proclaim the Deep State as the winners … but this new public rhetoric has my ears perked

Time doing it's thing, I going out on a limb and saying at least one high profile name will be indicted

Maybe not Eight Years of Suck's inner circle, but someone who's name has been mentioned frequently.

Not Comey, he's just a talking head with plausible deniability

The highest potential target could be Brennan, he's done a lot of lying on CNN. He's on record

Other's include McCabe and a slew of FBI dudes

Somebody signed the warrants knowing they lied, take away plausible deniability and they're the ones going down

He can't make charges that don't stick, he's not a liberal or a democrat

My dream team would include Adam Shiff, he's been on record lying to the country thousands of times

You're being teased. In the next couple of weeks you'll be tasered.

Naw. I agree with RT. Barr has somebody in his sights. Maybe a few somebodies. He's not like the fool Democrats. He's getting everything lined up just right, building airtight cases.

Additionally, I'm sure that they do not want to bring this public while this corona crap is at the front of every American's mind. That would be foolish for such a significant matter.

Be patient, boys.

Solomon was on with Lou Dobbs last night and said Durham will be handing out his first indictments next week but they will be "low level"

Today, Nunes confirmed Solomon's statement but said one high level indictment is coming sooner, not later, and while didn't use him by name was clearly referring to Comey

Nunes has seen the entire unredacted report and said the Russia stuff is incredibly silly. While Steele is the man typically referred to as the creator of the pee story Durham is close to showing it was HRC's campaign that fabricated it and then gave it to Steele to start his sideshow. Nunes laughed off the Russian connection because not one person mentioned by Steele and others as Russian intelligence had any idea about the story nor is there any evidence they've even heard of Steele. He hinted that the UK seems tightly involved in this and the more the media pushes this new "russian disinformation" narrative the more he beleives Durham will produce the HRC>Steele>UK Govt>FBI link

So expect some low level indictments to get this ball rolling with some possibility of one higher-level guy, like Comey, tossed in. Both Nunes and Solomon said this is just the beginning and that Durham has always attacked this as a criminal matter and not simply some fact-finding.

I'm giving them until May 1 to at least see some indictments and will lose interest after that
