Eighty percent feel the worst of the outbreak is yet to come, most (55%) feel President Donald Trump could be doing more to fight the outbreak, and 37% say they have grown more concerned about coronavirus in the last few days, far outpacing the 5% who say their fears have eased recently.

About 1 in 5 (22%) say they personally know someone who has been diagnosed with the virus, a figure that is double the share who said so in a Washington Post/ABC News poll conducted just two weeks ago.

Just under half (46%) say it is at least somewhat likely that they or someone in their family will contract the coronavirus, and there are deep disparities by socio-economic status and partisanship in Americans' level of confidence that they will be able to get treatment should they become ill with the virus.

Rating the government

A majority, 52%, say they disapprove of the way Trump is handling the coronavirus outbreak, and 45% approve. Both figures have risen since early March, when 41% approved, 48% disapproved and 11% weren't sure how they felt about the President's handling of the viral outbreak.

that would be the 80% that watch ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC or that still think the NYT and WP are credible

that crowd doesn't know that hydrcloriquine is working and saving lives, they actually think it's dangerous, and they believe Trump is making money on it's sales

keeping America uneducated, uninformed, barefoot and pregnant, that's the roll of our criminal corrupt colluding always lying democratic media, and it's the only thing they're good at

carry on, I'm sure you can start at least another dozen threads today about the exact same shit with the exact same spin

If you think my sources are one sided & unbalanced, offer some alternates & i will consider using some of them instead.

Fair enough?

RealClearPolitics

Usually present one story representing both sides of every argument

RCP's founders are conservative, but their links to news sources are balanced.

They provide all polls, and average them. not just one's that fit their narrative

But you won't find the really whacked out shit there

The Wall Street Journal will also provide fairly balanced information. Admittedly, pointing out sources like these is a waste of time since most people on this forum are attention whores (posting multiple times a day). It's much more about confirmation bias for those people. They just want to read what agrees with their viewpoint and push that narrative.

Because idiots will not listen and stay home

The "essential' crap needs to be scratched and ppl on lockdown period.

If you leave other than maybe 1 day per week to allow for food then you get punished.

Not gonna happen. People have their lives to live. People are beginning to see through this BS.

Just look at the so called expert numbers.....2 million could die, then 200k could die, now 60k could die. Next updated numbers will be 30k, then the decline continues. As you said, other than schools and restaurants closing everything else is business as usual.

Take out the NYC numbers and see what the remaining country looks like.

Back in your house you cockroach....or you get the bullet
Who is going to enforce and make sure you only leave once a week? Surveillance drones? Mark of the beast implant to track you?
What if you need something you forgot?
So much for freedom, eh?
Everyone loves and quotes American freedoms until their precious life is at the smallest risk
If you are that insistent on such strong measures then take a real stand against the government and other entities to enforce safety measures so we are safe in the first place
Then again that would put you at risk too

Thanks, i'll use some of their materials.

Here, at the top of the page, i see quite a few sources i've already been reading & or posting, such as NY papers, Bloomberg, The Atlantic:

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/

Also purely "political" threads are not my thing, & may get moved to that forum, but those regarding COVID-19 & a number of other topics.

I don't post much re business anyway & though they offer a 30 day free trial i won't pay to subscribe or expect rxers to pay. That would limit me to only posting titles from there with a couple paragraphs. Any other sources you guys would recommend?

Im with you. But essential stuff I still want to be able to do. I’ll only take my dog for a walk, go on a run, or go to the grocery myself.

I think if 90% of people in the states followed really staying in this would be over by May.

But I have been saying this from the VERY beginning about our culture man. The two countries I am most worried about doing the necessary things to prevent this from getting worse is the UK and the US.

I say the UK because they have a lot of weird “dont fuck with cats” type motherfuckers over there who forreal get off on shit like this. They love turmoil in society. And they will help add to it. Yesterday I read two men in the UK spit on their hands and started touching fridge handles in grocery stores, meat, and other food. Men were arrested and food thrown away. And then I saw a video of somebody in the UK on surveillance footage coughing and rubbing his nose with his hands and touching all of the car handles on the street.

Think about the people who aren’t getting caught on camera. UK has weird fucks like that.

Our problem here is stupid Americans. That’s 1. Our next problem is we are a culture that is bred to get money 24/7. Try telling a culture born to get money that we have to stay in doors and can’t do anything. Add into it the media has been straight fucking GARBAGE the last what, 15-20 years? Y’all would know better than me. But I know it’s been garbage the last 5. So I know the youth are not going to give a flying fuck about what the media thinks or says. Most people in this country now regardless of political affiliation know the media in THIS country is full of it.

So naturally nobody was going to take this seriously unless you did your own homework when it started because nobody fucks with the media. It would’ve probably helped if we had a president who took it more serious from the start.

Liquor stores are still open? Is that really a necessity? That’s a corona hotspot unless some fancy L store is doing curb side pickups. Government still trying to make something
