IDK if there will be a season. I was wondering if the owners still have to pay the players without having revenue.

I say there will be a NFL season without a doubt. This virus stuff won't disappear but we can't keep shutting everything down for months. I think by June everything will be back to normal. If it's not, let everything go back to normal and let the virus run its course. This pandemic is not worth crashing the economy.

I think there will definitely be a season.. could be without fans, but they will play. agree with you-- cant keep everything shut down. We need high volume testing, which i think will happen sooner then later.

Best case is a full schedule BUT with NO live fans on site.
No home teams, they will be played at several neutral sites to minimize travel and maintain good healthcare personel and equipment/supplies for top notch quality control, testing, etc.
With all the teams in only a few locations they will have to play on Saturday, and maybe Friday, too, not just Sunday.

I hope it's not on a neutral site.......I want to see home & away games, but I could care less about any fans being at the games.

Of course.

But if no fans, why bother to go to 32 stadiums?

And you’d have to deal with 32 health care operations for testing, air travel, buses, hotels etc. The chance of contamination needs to be minimized.

I understand all that, but these players don't want to be away from their families for over 4 months.......also, eventually there will be fans, no way fans aren't allowed in to watch games by the latest imo start of Oct......plus social distancing will be used (don't know how that will work out when you need to go to the bathroom & you're sitting in the middle of the row of seats), anyway, let's hope for the best.

Also, let's see how MLB does without fans first & then transition to fans with social distancing.

What about college football? I can't see college teams playing on a few neutral sites.......gotta have home & away imo, plus these kids go to school.

Regardless of the fact, that, WE ALL are DESPERATELY HOPING for an NFL season, "to happen" this year...
Let's be realistic...

...looks doubtful

They are already talking about delaying the start of the season to October 15.

I know the players are young and much less vulnerable to the virus than others, but the risk, the legal liability, of such an endeavor is enormous. Even with no fans in the stands, the far left media/press and the Democrats will pounce on a situation where some players or support staff get the virus.

I would bet the NBA and NHL will cancel their seasons, soon.

College football? IMO, almost impossible.

All this changes if a prophylactic pharmacuetical product emerges, SOON. (not referring to a vaccine, that is 18 months away, at least)

Everything I’ve heard sounds like they are a lot more likely now to start on time. To much for them to lose. NHL, NBA both coming back and NFL will follow suit. MLB least likely from what I’ve read
