The ten new Power 5 coaches are in a difficult situation, to put it mildly. These
coaches are trying to navigate the lock-down, no football world of the pandemic,
preparing for a season while not knowing when it will begin. Hiring an educating
a staff, learning the roster, players and administration to meet, especially new
signees and begin work on future recruiting classes. Add in limited to no spring
practice and these guys find themselves between a rock and a hard place. Are
they at a disadvantage? Yes. Are they worth attention early on for a wagering
man? Yes.
Jimmy Lake - Washington - 8-5 (2019 record)
Lane Kiffin - Ole Miss - 4-8
Mike Norvell - Florida State - 6-7
Dave Amanda - Baylor - 11-3
Eli Drinkwitz - Missouri - 6-6
Jeff Hafley - Boston College - 6-7
Mike Leach - Mississippi State - 6-7
Sam Pittman - Arkansas - 2-10
Mel Tucker - Michigan State - 7-6
Karl Dorrell - Colorado - 5-7
IF and when we have a season, it will be a wild one and these new coaches will be
in the middle of it. Welcome your comments...………………….
