Wirfs seems like another good kid. Hope he does well.

Ruggs a typical showboat receiver. Why is it the little fast guys are showboater? Glad Vikes didnt get him

Like the Vikes first pick in Jefferson. He catches the ball and scores TD's. That's what you want from wide receiver.

I guess Gruden loves the speed receiver. Since Carr can't throw deep, I guess a new QB is on the way...at least I hope so.

I was just out on my deck and I can see the fireworks going off in Green Bay already

I don't see Rodgers taking anyone under a wing.

Rodgers is a great QB, but is a selfish prick.

I cannot understand why the GM/HC did this, they desperately needed a WR, Love may not play for years if Rodgers stays healthy, they traded up for him... makes no sense.

This is not going to go well...

I'm also not sure who was going to draft this guy before the Packers regular pick. They moved up and gave away another pick, I guess, because they thought some other team was going to trade up ahead of them. Not sure how the Pack over-achieved last year, but at this point they are going into the new season with the same team. They lost one of their top O-lineman, but they did resign the kicker and Devin Funchess has somehow found another team, for which, to under-perform.

I was hoping the Vikes traded up with Dallas to take Lamb. I would have thought they would have done that so Philly couldnt get Lamb. Dallas probably could have used the pick for a bigger need. I thought the Vikes were going to get screwed and not get one of the top 4. I am happy with not trading up and getting Jefferson. Luckily we had Philadelphia drafting a receiver ahead of us. There just seems to be certain coaches or teams that have to be different just to try to show everyone that they know more than everyone else.

Probably 2 of the top 4 receivers turns out to be solid picks. Two will turn out to be busts. I hope Jefferson turns out good.

I have it from some very reliable sources that the Packers have identified a place kick holder that they are hoping is still available when they pick in the second round.

Heard that too Star...rumor is they will trade up to ensure they get their man. Packers will be way down next year... Danica Patrick is already signing up for Tinder.

Bonehead picks:

  • Packers (Love)...... (can they trade Rodgers?)
  • Giants (should have traded down and Thomas is not the OL they should have picked)
  • Atlanta (Terell)
  • Las Vegas (Arnette)

Also do not like Tua, he will not stay healthy in the NFL, and Becton is a weight problem he was >390 got down to 360, when he is worth $15-20M will he keep his weight down for 4 years?

If Green Bay moved up and took Queen I would have thought that was a good move.

Word on the street is that overall this is a deep draft. Some of the teams at the top should have tried to trade down. Detroit is a great example. I think they got a very good cornerback but moving down they could have got two pretty solid players.

Green Bay's pick was a head scratcher unless maybe they plan to ship Rodgers off to
New England (joking). The Pack haven't drafted a wide receiver or tight end since Rodgers
has been there. They desperately need a playmaking wide receiver or two to help Aaron
out. Also, since they lost tackle Brian Bulaga to free agency, tackle is a major concern for
the offense. Defense couldn't stop the run last year and getting a run stopper at linebacker
would have helped. Drafting a damn QB in the FIRST round is definitely a head scratcher
and downright stupid to me.

Agree with those Serbone especially the Giants as that OT could have been had as the third or fourth offensive lineman off the board. Let's see who can reverse the negative trend today and interested in seeing what NE does if they don't trade down again.

Packer buddies are pissed.

So who is having a good draft and who is having bad drafts.

On the bad.....Green Bay and Philadelphia come to mind

I don't mind Philly picking up Hurts as I think they can do a lot with him in the offense. I think the Vikings are filling holes and moving ahead of GB in that division. You never know about NE as we will have to see if they continue to find players in each round. Let's just consider that the Cardinals picked up a great receiver in the second round by the name of DeAndre Hopkins...I think he will be good. If the Bears wanted a TE, they should have traded for Brate at TB. If another team picked the four guys who joined the Browns, I would think that was pretty good, but...it is the Browns so that is questionable. I like the Hamler pick for Denver and the Raiders now have a lot of talent at receiver and a bad QB.

Arnette wasn't as bad as people think. Played with a broken wrist. Physical DB that can cover just fine. Red Flags were for off the field stuff, attitude etc..Several had him as a 2nd round talent. They didn't have another pick until 80, didn't get an offer they liked, kept the pick. Took the guy they liked.

After the first 2 DBs you could throw them in a hat and pick one. People get way too caught up in draft guides. Its an inexact science, aside from the obvious top players the rest are graded all over the place. WR lists were all over the place.

Safeties targeted for 1st round went in the 2nd. Terrell went 16th. Look at the receivers that slipped down the board. Several 2nd rounders went later than expected.

Everyone has their opinion on when a player should be taken, which is fine. I can make a list a mile long of Top 10 picks that were awful, while players taken after excelled.

Until they line up and play, nobody knows. The most ridiculous exercise of this process is everyone wanting to grade drafts before any of these guys plays a snap.
