This is from the CDC, actual deaths, not media driven

They also publish stuff every week and it takes them one week to accumulate, so this table lags. But it's absolutely useful to cite demographics

It was published 5/1, includes deaths through April 25th

Chinese flu deaths are still too high. I know 2 deaths that were absolutely not WuFlu but got recorded on death certificate as.

We've known that twenty somethings and younger are immune - we known this since day one - they can get a mild cold and can spread it but they ain't gonna die

15 children hospitalized in NYC with mysterious syndrome possibly linked to COVID-19
"The full spectrum of disease is not yet known."

.....

Rising cases of kids with Kawasaki disease possibly linked to coronavirus

Tokyo - Doctors in Europe and the United States have been reporting an increase in cases of children who have developed Kawasaki disease or symptoms similar to the rare inflammatory syndrome, with concerns raised over a possible link to the new coronavirus, according to local media reports.

The scientific community and national authorities are unsure as to whether the acute febrile illness, which primarily affects children under four, was triggered by COVID-19, and will remain vigilant in monitoring it.

Kawasaki disease, the cause of which is unknown and which is usually seen in Asia, is associated with irritation and redness of the whites of the eyes, swollen tongues, skin rashes, and fever.

It can limit blood flow to the heart and cause vascular inflammation as well as myocardial infarction. It is usually treatable but could also be fatal.

My point in another thread was that it seems like even in young ppl who show no underlying health issues, that Covid can find it in your DNA/body years or decades before you it even affects you and you find out about it, and attack it.

Hache, they haven't yet decided if those cases are COVID-19 or not

And I'm thinking they can make that determination fairly quickly too, looks like they're applying an "abundance of caution"

As others have suggested, everything and anything "can be" COVID-19 nowadays

I will concede we don't know everything about this yet, that takes time, but some stuff has been pretty consistent throughout the world

And I understand why you advise everyone to be careful, it's not bad advice

True Willie, but they suspect it and all of a sudden these things popping up out of nowhere odds are it's related to it.

I think we all agree to just wishing this mess would fade away so we can get on with our lives either way.

Yes I just want everyone to know that just because you think & assume you are healthy and it won't affect you, I've seen first hand that is far from the truth.

None of us know.

Why play Russian roulette with it??

Hache, it will always be worse to family and friends of loved ones impacted, but the flip side to your question is how long would we wait? What daily number is acceptable? It would never be 0 so there will always be a family suffering.

So many agendas and false stories out there it’s truly difficult to know what the accurate numbers are and what the right answer is as to when we should start back up.

Stay positive with this that your family will prevail!! :103631605

It's funny we only care about this now but during any other year, we don't say anything about the people that die across our country from all sorts of different things from heart disease to diabetes etc.

Those are “acceptable” and not contagious would be my guess..

I wonder how this would be handled if we had the same # of deaths but they were “peaceful” and family members could be present to say goodbye...:think2:
