Many New Yorkers are ushering in a grim Mother’s Day amid accusations that Democrat Governor Andrew “Cuomo killed my mom” thanks to his deadly policy that forced nursing homes to admit coronavirus patients.

The bone-headed move resulted in the deaths of thousands of senior citizens living in nursing homes.
In March, Cuomo mandated that nursing homes must accept coronavirus patients even though older people are the most at-risk to die from COVID-19. Making matters worse was the fact that nursing homes did not have personal protective equipment or COVID testing capability.
Shockingly, the mainstream media not only gave Cuomo a pass on the scandal, but lionized him as a hero.

Not really looking for an argument here, but when Covid 19 patients no longer need “hospital care”, but still need the kind of care nursing homes provide – where do you send them? Also, when Jared Kushner refuses to send PPE supplies to blue states, how does Cuomo supply nursing homes, when even NY hospitals are running short? Sounds to me like the Red Herd is blaming Cuomo for being between a rock and hard place, which the orange blimp created for America.

We all agree and understand that Mike Pence is the best possible replacement for Trump in 2024. If there really was someone better, Trump would have picked them to be vice president. He had the Javits Center or the medical ship docked in NYC. Sending them back to the nursing home was
completely wrong. Cuomo is a murderer like it or not

Duh - when Cuomo issued his nursing home order, Javitts still wasn’t open for business, and – double-duh – the Comfort refused to take Covid 19 patients. I know it’s hard keeping up with the truth, but at least make some effort before spewing FAUX-News fictions.

Of course, it was. It was a terrible, awful and deadly option – but what choices did hospitals and Cuomo have? Send them home? Put them on the street? Bear in mind that, although, these people no longer needed “hospitalization”, they still required “nursing home” level care. Also, at the time of Cuomo’s decision, NY hospitals were maxed out – so the rock and hard-place analogy is a perfect one. Had he been given the PPE materials he needed from the Fed, which was, at the time, denied to NY by the blue-state hating son-in-law of the orange blimp, Cuomo might have supplied nursing homes with the means to deal with Covid 19 patients; had the Javitts Center hospital been open, he could have sent them there; or, if the USS Comfort not refused to treat the Coronavirus infected, that also would have been an option. I don’t know jack about Cuomo, but this thread was started and supported by lying morons, gibbering FAUX-News fictions, who desperately want to stop the buck of Covid 19 response-failure ANWHERE other than where it belongs – and that rankles, as it should any non-moron.
