From the start of this thing, I just shook my had at why we were under the same parameters as New York. We don't have mobs of people on the streets downtown, and we certainly are not living on top of each other like they do in New York. In addition, we have just slightly over 1,000 deaths for a population of 29 million people ( that comes out to roughly 3.4 deaths per every 100,000 people). People unintentionally social distance by the fact that many homes are on acres of land.
The media is doing their thing again and being disingenuous by focusing on an uptick on the amount of people contracting the disease ( but they conveniently leave out that we are doing significantly more testing). At this point, I honestly don't care since we never really knew how many people had contracted the disease from the start due to insufficient testing. The only important thing is how many people are dying. And right now in my county that's 2.5 people for every 100,000, and in the entire State its 3.4 for every 100,000. The media and the useful idiots can shove it. Here's to hitting the Governor's goal of 100% by June 1st.
