surprised it was unanimous
one thing is for sure, those take downs didn't mean shit to the judges. they must have been scoring all the punches with heavier weight

yup... if it was split decision it'll be at least a little bit believable. unanimous decision loss doesn't sit well with me. Just wanted peoples' opinion to make sure im not the only one thinking that lol.

Lol i was about to take that L parlay.
Wonder if its the same judge who scored it for Waterston last week giving her a 30 27.
Poor sportsmanship on veras part. He shoulda got mad at the judges not his opponent

It wasn't a robbery but was a close decision. I was on Song. I had him winning 1 and Chito winning 3. 2 was damn close.

Barboza losing was the robbery.

Gave Vera a slight edge. No robbery though
Barboza first round probably 10-8 Second was a toss up. Round 3 Inge 10-9
Should have been a draw or a Barboza win. There was more of a significant edge for Barboza in round 1 than Inge combined round 2 and 3.'Make it easier and judge the fight as a whole. Sometimes judges are on the fence for whether it is 10-8 or 10-9.
Still not a robbery but a draw at worse for Barboza I think
Robbery is a very overused termin MMA

The first round wasn't a 10-8, it didn't even meet the criteria to even consider it...

Definitely shouldn't have been a draw, as stated, it didn't come close to the criteria. Scoring the fight as a whole wouldn't work, and it wouldn't have worked in this situation, either. The criteria puts on the fence to begin with for a 10-8. It states about the 3 Ds (damage, dominance, and duration), that if 2-3 occur, you must consider a 10-8 (meaning you can still give one), but -f all 3 occur, you for sure give one, and must consider a 10-7 (I only know of 2 of these ever), but we were highly encouraged starting last year to give more 10-8s, and I personally toook it to heart...

Robbery is definitely an overused term in MMA, and there were Zero robberies last night. Suspect decisions and arguable decisions, for sure...

The Ige vs Barbosa fight comes down to how you scored the second, more importantly, how you scored the late body kick and GNP for the last 30 seconds of the Round. Was it enough to steal the round from Ige, because it was definitely all Ige's round until then. The first was clearly Barbosa's (no 10-8 considered), and the 3rd was Ige's...

Honestly I know there is weird language about how you are suppose to score a fight but damage is all I care about unless it is even and then I will consider aggression. Little wiggle room with grappling I suppose
The fight in the first was relatively even except the knock down. If you can't give a 10-8 for than I don't know. I mean you get a even round and force a 10-9 but can't give a 10-8 there with the knockdown off a hard elbow and overhand. That is why I like to score the whole fight I have seen 10-8 given with less and just grappling control. I don't know JMO. It isn't fair to have a basically even round where you basically have to pick someone and then one when it is very clear and have to count them even. Makes no sense to me

Your “little wiggle room for grappling” and “just grappling Control” is where it clearly shows you don’t understand the criteria to judge a fight...I’m seriously not trying to be harsh, just saying...

“The fight in the First was relatively even except for the knockdown” is an argument for a 10-9, actually, not a 10-8...

Well, considering there was no grappling I can't be specific as to grappling in that first round. Laying on top of someone and doing little damage just controlling position sure as hell isn't 10-8 compared to a knockdown A knockdown is huge. There can be a 10-8 just grappling but it has to be more than just positioning and control. Not even striking either. So a 10-9 is just winning a knockdown makes it 10-8 because it is significant. But honestly just ask yourself this is a even round that is scored 10-9 equal to what Barboza did? Add the knockdown to an even fight and how is that equal to a toss up round? That is all I am saying So many rounds where you say it can go to either. This was clearly Barboza so it deserves more weight. Don't know how you can disagree with that. Maybe you don't thonk that equals 10-8 but it sure doesn't equal 10-9 But I guess that why judging has so many odd outcomes

To be fair to your point it also goes the other way. There are rounds where you get a guy beat the hell out of someone and it is 10-8. So, comparing that Barboza round to a round where a guy dominates isn't fair either. So maybe we need a few more 10-7? I don't even know how many of those there have been. But this is why I like to judge fights as a whole. Agree or disagree that is just my opinion anyway
