until you're able to reliably distinguish weakly contagious asymptomatic carriers from non-weak contagious of asymptomatic carriers, you're still at square one.

so you're telling me a single trace study case of one asymptomatic patient and his contact with 35 patients, 196 family members and 224 hospital staffs is sufficient to make the conclusion that asymptomatic carriers are unlikely to infect others? nevermind the fact that the hospital staff of 224 had full PPE.

sorry, this paper still qualifies essentially as a single case report, which is not the same as data, and cannot be used to make any kind of conclusions regarding how infectious this may or may not be for asymptomatic covid patients. it would be hypothesis generating for a future study but the paper alone is not meant to drive public health policy.

it's not about having a study with animal models. it's about knowing how to interpret scientific literature, which >95% of the population doesn't know how to do properly. there's a lot of people who definitely think they can, but really, most of you can't.
