How simple is it? How fast do they get the order together.. Is it a hassle if they don't have a certain product, meaning does that slow the whole process down. Do you pay online first and then get a refund if the product is not there.. do they substitute? I didn't really want to do it, but my doctor on a phonevisit, said it would be a good idea for me..He does it at Walmart.

I use shipt.
The person that brings it to your house text you on your phone while they are at the store to tell you how it’s going .

If they are out of something they will text me and ask if I want something else instead .

You pay for the food virtually at the cash register with a QR code that is on the delivery persons phone that is linked to your bank account or CC

Doc told me he didn't like the delivery because they didn't show up on time so he said it was easier to schedule a time for pickup. Each place and deal is likely different. Anything better than shopping in a store.

Just got Walmart Pickup this morning. For the most part, I like it, overall, probably A-. I like that I’d they substitute the National brand for the generic, you get it at the generic price. I don’t totally like it for getting things like produce, though, as it seems I get bananas too ripe for my liking, and they just grab the first ones they see for apples, cukes, etc. Only other thing I don’t like is they’ll have stuff in stock that they’ll mark out of stock, and I won’t get it, but I still tend to be able to use it for 90% of my shopping now, and the rest I can do Lidl or Publix...

I say give it a try. As far as how long it takes, you reserve a time slot, and get an email/text when it’s ready. If it’s the following day or two, you have until 1:45am the morning of pickup to add/change/cancel the order. Like that aspect as well...

Been using it weekly for a long time, first at Walmart and now at HEB.
Many many pros, a couple cons.
Most notable con is the produce sitch mentioned by my friend Matty above.

Use shipt you can tell the person shopping for you exactly how you want your bananas . They don’t work for the store so they have no reason not to give you exactly what you ask for.
They will even take a picture of the produce if you ask.

We just starting using Shipt and love it. It costs us like $89 for the year. My wife puts in an order in advance and scheduled a delivery time. If out of stock, they will text you and let you know. If they give u wrong item, then call shipt, and they will credit your account.

Maldonado, everything Chop said In the previous posts on this thread is correct.

we also have been doing wal Mart pick and target pickup and it’s been great as well

I think its lazy. Usually fat people sitting out in their cars waiting on someone to load up the goods.

My family cooks a lot. Also eat a lot of produce. No way in hell I am getting some soft millennial picking out my meats, fruits, veggies.

I've gotten a Walmart.com account so far.. I'm too old and lack patience for this type of stuff. I know it's probably simple, but just getting my account was a hassle. (I had sometype of Walmart account back in the day where you got money off for purchases that built up. They ended that program for those without a smartphone or whatever, yet my account was still in the system. Everything starts with your email address and THEN you hold on tight!

I think Walmart locally closes at 8pm here, so I'll see if I can do some type of order for pickup tomorrow.. But will there be anyone there tonight to pick up the order or do they just wait until tomorrow. I thought that, I'd start simple to see how it goes. No produce or frozen good yet.

I want to say we usually order at least 1 day In advance. Truth be told, my wife takes care of all this stuff (I just pay the bill when my credit card statement comes).

she seems happy so I’m happy

and no, we aren’t doing this b/c we are fat and lazy. We’re doing this to stay safe and we are finding out how convenient this is.

If I order right now, the earliest pickup is 3 to 4 pm tomorrow and I haven't even gotten to the grocery pages that I want.... This to me is nuts!

If I could be so stupid as to ask what I see as a very simple question..If I want to buy 6 cans of sardines; why would there not be a "S" for me to look it up? Idon't understand the thinking of supposedly highly skilled people that design a website..
