Some of you may have noticed that the Today's Look at Trump is no longer here ad has been moved back to the Rubber Room.

Rather than continue over there, I have decided not to but rather begin more inclusive thread over here.

To explain, the purpose of this thread will be for everyone to post news and links which relate to the Presidential Election

and/or commentary about BOTH TRUMP AND BIDEN or something or someone related.

In addition, the purpose is for anyone to POLITELY discuss/debate any news which is presented by another poster as well as presenting

their own links either in response to what was posted or a link which is about some other matter.

I am requesting that there be no bashing, name calling or insults of either candidate based on what is posted in a link and absolutely no

BASHING, NAME CALLING OR INSULTS DIRECTED AT THE PERSON WHO POSTED THE NEWS/LINKS.

I have requested that moderators read the thread and enforce these rules.

In short, all I am asking for is some respect for what someone has to say whether you agree with him/her or not.

Klobuchar has been conspicuous by her absence, she's toast, IMO.

I agree.

I never thought she was that high on the list to begin with.

Imo Kamala will probably get it with Warren running second.

Her strong legal background, high intelligence, and nice personality compared to that of Trump(could anyone's be worse?), should serve her and the Party well

when the Campaign gets going.

Biden will have to smell their hair first to decide which one he wants....

I hate to admit it, but imo there are going to be more racist George Floyd types of murders in the country, and that there will

be more and more subsequent protests, perhaps even more violent than this one.

I personally despise Rush Limbaugh because imo among other things, out of all the Right Wing talk show hosts,

he is the biggest racist of all of them.

However I do agree with him that we may actually come to the point where for all intents and purposes, where we will have another Civil War

in the streets of this country!

Before you start reading, let me tell you that there are no links to news here.

Rather I am expressing my own personal opinion as to how I see things at the moment.

Overall I have sense that as a whole that the American Public is angry because of the Coronavirus, 105,000 deaths, related loss of many jobs

in many cases their own, and all of the restrictions place on their way of life(this not to say that most people DON'T agree with these restrictions such

as wearing masks, social distancing, etc.).

Then toss on the fact that there are not such enjoyable things to watch/attend to make their day such as sports(even sports gambling),

going to the movies and lots of other stuff, and you have one frustrated society living in a tinderbox.

Then you get a murder to set off that tinderbox with the murder of George Floyd and prior to, that some others, all involving Blacks.

What follows/has followed are riots in the streets exacerbated by outsiders to fire up/incite the crowd even more and the police reaction.

Where we go from here is anyone's guess with such matters as the control of the Virus, whether jobs come back, the overall state of the economy

the stock market, and of course if there are more murders and resultant protests.

There are also unanswered question as to who to blame for all of this.

Can you simply blame Trump for not acting fast enough with the Virus re: the number of deaths and all of the subsequent economic repercussions,

and/or are there other reasons?

Obviously you will get a zillion different answers depending on who you ask.

One unanswered question I wonder about is that if there had not been any Coronavirus, layoffs and thus all of the other things

I cited above, but Floyd was still murdered, would the responses and protests been less intense?

I happen to think they would have been, but obviously that is conjecture on my part.

Looking at and trying to predicting the outcome of the Election is a crapshoot as so many both positive and negative things can occur

between now and November.

I do think that if the Election was held today, Biden would win rather handily(poll show the same), as people who had not yet made up their minds

yet, would probably conclude that for reasons stated above, things are pretty ugly right no in the US, and that change at top would

be the most logical way to go with the past of least resistance.

Time will tell.

I am posting this not as something I necessarily believe but rather as something for your consideration

which I read on the internet posted by someone about whom I know nothing.

  • I believe that Trump has sleeper cells of professional agitators throughout the US. I wouldn’t be surprised if

he Floyd killing was planned. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump seeded all the major cities with professional agitates

who got small local fires fanned out into wildfires of protest- all to take attention away from ihs 100000 + covid

criminally negligent failure. And then- when things get bad enough, he will call in the military which will

use over whelming force- and then will be haled as a “hero”. But it won’t get him the black vote.
