We need to cut essential government-provided services to people who do not produce, Healthcare is only for people who can afford it. WIC food benefits need to be eliminated 100%. Section 8 of the Housing Act of 1937 gone. Only people over 65 can get one cent of Social Security retirement benefits if they pay more then 15% income tax.

Read a story today regarding insulin.
Many Americans had been coming to Canada on "insulin runs".
$35 here but Americans paying $325. Hard to fathom.

there are only three insulin manufacturers serving the U.S. market: Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, and Sanofi. Novo Nordisk is my favorate of these as I favor cash rich companies.

TJ Mexico draws huge crowds of Americans for both dental and medical.
I was down in San Diego recently and went to TJ to check it out after years of not being there.
It's still rough but unrecognizable ...new buildings/ roads /malls/ and a lot of the growth is medical tourism.
Bought a bottle of tequila and visited a pharmacy for recreational boner pills and was out..
Easy and fun.

Debt is everywhere and only the stupid do not take it. If 99% of a country's population gets a loan to buy something, do you know what will happen if 20% start to not pay the debts? Banks will start to negotiate with these people in order to reduce the monthly payment and extend the years that you need to pay. The other people(the ones that pay) will start to see that they can do the same thing as the 20% did, in order to pay less. At same point a more that 50% of the population will start to not pay their monthly interest rate. Next will come the government and but all these people that cannot pay to some kind of protection scheme. The point is that in this world the ones that get debt and never pay back will be the winners and the ones that pay it back will be the losers. Debt jubilee is the word.

Yes that is another sort of debt..I did a job recently for LLBean, I learned they make more from the unpaid debt on in their CC services than they do selling product.

What do you mean? They are making money because they do not repay their debt or something else? Thanks

Just normal consumer debt and the interest collected makes the company more than selling goods.

On one hand you hear what Bozzie is telling us, on the other you can see the stock market is pumping and you are wondering, "am i living in wonderland".
A new job has been created. The job of the loan hunter. It is the person that goes to every bank,store,grocery whatever building he/she can find and asks if there is a loan available for him/her. LOL.

I love Greece and have been 5 times but it's been many years.
How are things in Greece these days..the economy and such?

I've been thinking of going back once things mellow out a bit.
